Lee Sun Kyun, Yoo Jae Myung, Kim Mu Yeol and Lee Kwang Soo have confirmed their appearances in the mystery thriller drama.
Named Payback, the series deals with the confrontation between ‘those who want to kill’ and ‘those who want to survive’ in the middle of a public murder contract. That is because of a bounty of 20 billion won put on the head of a rare criminal released from prison.
Lee Sun Kyun takes center stage in the drama as police officer Baek Joong-sik, who has to protect a rare criminal from citizens, while Yoo Jae Myung transforms into Kim Guk-ho, a rare criminal and murderer who is released from prison after 13 years.
Kim Mu Yeol portrays Lee Sang-bong, a lawyer in the lower 1% who becomes Guk-ho’s legal representative, and Lee Kwang Soo will play the role of Yoon Chang-jae, a butcher trying to recover his lost money.
Payback is directed by Choi Gook-hee, who directed the films Default, Life is Beautiful and Split, and writer Lee Soo-jin of the film The Devil’s Deal.
The series is scheduled to begin filming in October, and the broadcast date and platform will be revealed later.
