Power and Ambition Clash in “Made in Korea,” Headlined By A-Listers Hyun Bin and Jung Woo Sung

Next year, two of Korea’s biggest acting talents will face off in Made in Korea, an intense new series debuting exclusively on Disney+.

This gripping K-Drama explores one man’s relentless pursuit of wealth and power. Set against the backdrop of the tumultuous 1970s, Made in Korea is a captivating crime thriller centered around Kitae, a man driven by his ambition for wealth and power, and Geonyoung, a determined prosecutor who opposes him. Their ongoing conflict escalates into a pivotal event that will change their lives forever.

Hyun Bin (Crash Landing On You and Confidential Assignment) stars as Kitae, while Jung Woo Sung (of 12.12: The Day and Hunt) portrays Geonyoung. The series is penned by Park Eunkyo (Sea of Tranquility, Mother) and Park Joonseok (A Normal Family), directed by Woo Minho (The Man Standing Next, Inside Men), and produced by Hive Media Corp (Inside Men, Seoul Spring).

Made in Korea is the latest addition to Disney+’s growing lineup of must-watch APAC content. In 2024, the platform will introduce over 10 high-quality Korean titles, building on the success of its 2023 slate, which included popular series like Moving, Big Bet, and The Worst of Evil.

A Shop For Killers currently stands as 2024’s most viewed local original series on Disney+ in APAC (based on views). Later this year, fans of unmissable storytelling will be able to enjoy several highly anticipated Korean originals including The Tyrant, Unmasked, Gangnam B-Side and Light Shop, as well as premium, talent-driven scripted dramas in 2025 including Tempest, Low Life andNine Puzzles.
