Netflix Series “D.P.” Unleashes Enticing Character Posters

Jung Hae In, Koo Kyo Kwan, Kim Sung Kyun, and Son Seok Koo are all keen to hunt down military deserters!

D.P. is a Netflix original series that follows the story of army private Joon-ho, one of many soldiers serving in the Korean military, who suddenly ends up becoming a member of the “Deserter Pursuit” unit that tracks down military deserters and encounters the realities of confused young soldiers.

Based on a webtoon by Kim Bo-tong, it garnered over 10 million views for its realistic portrayal of the brutal violence and human rights violations committed in the military with the refreshing theme of Deserter Pursuit (D.P.), a military police unit in charge of arresting soldiers who deserted their posts.


D.P.’s Lead Actors Look Sturdy in Characters Posters

Netflix released photo stills of the main actors further heightened the excitement and attracted the attention of viewers. The unusual aura of Jung, Koo, Kim, and Son reflects in the photos.

In the first photo, Jung Hae In with a fierce face is looking sideways with his clean-cut and military uniform. Fans are anticipating how the actor would transform into a youth soldier and unfold the reality of military life. After all, he has received much love in his previous man-in-uniform roles.

Next up, Koo Kyo Hwan plays the role of corporal Han Ho-Yul and is the captain of D.P. He looks serious and conveys that he is passionate about catching deserters. 

However, in the teaser video, he looks cheerful and made a good friendship with Joon-Ho. It hints at the layer of comical moments to expect in the series.

Added to the tension are Kim Sung Kyun and Son Sok Ku featured in images that show their superiority as seniors. In the photos, Kim and Seon look strict and we can sense that their appearance in the film to be sturdy as well.

Kim plays Sergeant Park Bum-Goo who also leads the D.P team and keeps his cool-mindedness all the time.

Meanwhile, Son portrays Captain Lim Ji Sup that is newly appointed in the Army Military Police. He spices things up when he confronts Sargeant Bum-Goo about the activities of D.P.

Writer Kim shared that he is satisfied with the performance of the actors.

“I was happy to create a god with the two actors I’ve always watched with surprise. These are actors who I dare not think of as virtual casts. I didn’t feel a sense of difference to the extent that I thought I had played this role originally.”
