A lively script reading was revealed in the latest update of Oh! YoungSim!
The Genie TV Original series also secures premiere on May 15
Oh! ‘YoungSim is a romantic comedy-drama about Young-shim and Gyung-tae who meet again after 20 years.
This work is inspired by the main characters in the past animation film Young-shim. It aims to present what their life could be at present.
The original work evokes nostalgia, as well as the cast with solid chemistry and the production team supporting the series aims for a promising project.
In the released script reading video, lead stars Song Ha Yoon, Lee Donghae,
Song Ha Yoon plays the titular role Oh YoungSim. Loaded with positive energy, she did not give in to her difficulties and ran to achieve her goal.
Next, Lee Donghae takes on the role of Wang Kyung-tae, the representative of Kingvely, which became a unicorn startup with super-fast growth in three years.
Lee Min Jae characterizes Lee Chae-dong, a junior who has a crush on Young-shim, and Jung Woo Yeon is Young-shim’s childhood friend and YouTuber Gu Wol-suk.
Aiming to capture the emotion of the original work, the production team invites viewers to look forward to Oh! Young-shim.
“It will be a work where you can once again feel the laughter and emotion you felt while watching the animation. In the past, we all spent our adolescence together as Young-shim or Kyung-tae. As time goes by, we see the main characters represent people who become full-fledged members of society and live fiercely. We will give viewers time to look back on the past and present with a drama that conveys sympathy and comfort.”
Oh! YoungSim will be available on Genie TV, Genie TV Mobile, and ENA from 10:00 pm on May 15. International fans can watch it on Viu.
