Our Beloved Summer introduces Choi Woo Shik as a character accustomed to a minimalist life devoid of a proper dream.
Our Beloved Summer chronicles the story of a former couple, who met after a decade apart due to the increasing popularity of the documentary they filmed together.
Moreover, Choi Woo Shik and Kim Da Mi’s reunion, who both previously worked together in the film The Witch, heighten attention for the series as well as the appearances of Kim Seong Cheol and Noh Jeong.
Subsequently, Choi chose Our Beloved Summer as his comeback drama after a four-year hiatus. He portrays Choi-Woong, a carefree young man who changes after discovering something.
In the drama, he grows up enough to envy everyone, but he is attuned to hiding himself without a fixed dream.
Contrarily, he confronts a variety of emotions when he meets Yeon-Soo (Kim Da Mi), a fierce young lady on a daily basis.
Reuniting with Gook Yeon-soo, who suddenly reappeared after five years, Choi-Woong presents a new side of the relationship with a different image than before.
Meet The Quirky and Free-Spirited Choi-Woong
Upon the release of the photos, which chronicle Choi Woong’s transformation from a 19-year-old boy to a 29-year-old man.
His schoolboy character photo draws attention. Choi Woong, who became the documentary’s protagonist due to his position as the school’s last student. The narrative of his growth in a span of ten years in Our Beloved Summer, piques interest.
Additionally, the atmosphere, which is markedly different from what he was in the past, causes viewers to look forward to his story. Another photo sees Choi Woong engaged in his work as an artist in his own right. Then, his face looking unfathomable in his reunion with his first love suggests an interesting reunited lovers narrative.
Following an accidental reunion with Gook Yeon-Soo, with whom Choi-Woong shared a special page of his golden youth, there is a sense of anticipation for the changes that will occur to Choi-Woong.
Choi Woo Shik asserts that choosing the drama was due to the script.
