MBC’s new Friday-Saturday drama Our House unveils main poster showing a mysterious dancing shadow of a woman behind the lead stars creating a symmetrical contrast.
Bitter Sweet Hell follows the story of a renowned family psychologist whose career and family are threatened by an unknown blackmailer. She cooperates with her mother-in-law, a mystery novel writer, to protect her family.
Dubbed a human black comedy with a story, writer Nam Ji-yeon of the web drama So I Married an Anti-Fan wrote the script, and producer Lee Dong-hyun of Doctor Lawyer and She Knows Everything takes the directorial seat.
In Bitter Sweet Hell, Kim Hee Sun plays the role of Noh Yeong-won, the best family psychologist in Korea and a celebrity loved by the nation, while Lee Hye-young plays Noh Young-won’s mother-in-law, who devoted her life to her only son, Choi Jae-jin (Kim Nam Hee). She takes on the role of mystery novel writer Hong Sa-gang.
In relation to this, Kim Hee Sun and Lee Hye Young draw attention by presenting the ‘main poster’, which delivers a powerful impact with unstoppable tension. While they sit side by side at a desk and look straight ahead, taking on a similar stance, they create a ‘symmetrical contrast’ with their ‘polar opposite’ expressions and attitudes.
Young-won shines her flashlight at a photo of her family and squinting with her shaking pupils as if she is overcome with fear, heightening her anxiety. Sa-gang, poses as she writes something on her typewriter. Her sharp eyes shine behind the bright red frames of her glasses, revealing her unusual keenness.
Above all, behind them, shadow women dancing in strange poses overlap to form the background, arousing curiosity. The text on the poster says: ‘We are in a trap’, raising further expectations as to what kind of ‘cooperation’ psychological counselor Young-won and mystery novel writer Sa-gang will create and what their relationship will be with the dancing women.
The production team said, “Through the ‘main poster,’ we wanted to convey the meaning of the unique collaboration between Noh Young-won, Hong Sa-gang, and the dancing shadows in the background. It is a drama that will convey a new perspective and message about the family we have thought of so far. Please look forward to the first broadcast of Our House.”
Our House will premiere on May 24th (Friday) at 9:50 PM.
