The lead stars of Perfect Family shared key insights ahead of its premiere.
Perfect Family (directed by Isao Yukisada) is a mystery thriller about a seemingly perfect family unraveling due to their daughter’s murder. The drama, based on a popular webtoon, marks the first Korean drama directed by Isao Yukisada, known for his acclaim at various film festivals.
Kim Byung Chul, portraying Choi Jin-hyeok, a father who shifts from prosecutor to lawyer for his daughter, emphasized the captivating script, stating, “The ‘Perfect Family’ script was immersive just to read. I believe viewers will feel the same.” He described the drama as a ‘mirror’, hoping it encourages viewers to reflect on their own families.
Yoon Se Ah, playing Ha Eun-joo, a mother with deep maternal love, noted, “Not all families form naturally. It will be intriguing to guess the events that caused this happy family to encounter conflicts and confusion.” She likened Perfect Family to birthday seaweed soup, saying it is a comforting, essential drama that prompts reflection on family and love.
