First on the roster is Go Yoon Jung who takes on the role of Oh Yi-young, a first-year obstetrics and gynecology resident at Jongno Yulje Hospital.
Known for her emotionless expressions and blunt honesty, Yi-young unintentionally fuels hospital gossip with her unfiltered remarks.
Despite starting her day at 5:30 AM with a determined mindset, the chaotic hospital environment constantly challenges her resolve. Whether she’ll manage to make it through a day unscathed remains to be seen.
The newly released stills offer a glimpse into Yi-young’s demanding routine. While she may appear aloof at times, her focus sharpens when attending to patients, and carrying out her responsibilities with diligence. Viewers can look forward to witnessing her transformation from an inexperienced rookie to a passionate doctor.
Next, Kang You Seok transforms into a former idol turned doctor in Resident Playbook. He takes on the role of Um Jae-il.
What makes his character stand out is his unusual past—before becoming a doctor, Jae-il was an idol with just one hit song to his name.
Despite facing daily scoldings from his seniors, Jae-il’s enthusiasm burns brighter than any of his peers. His natural charm and quick wit make him a beloved presence among both patients and nurses, earning him the title of the “mood maker” of the department.
