Fierce and full of emotions, the video teasers of River Where The Moon Rises surely looks formidable!
Derived from Goguryeo historical folktale of Ondal and Princess Pyeonggang, the forthcoming KBS series is bannered by Kim So Hyun and Ji Soo.
Suiting up as the heroine of the series, Kim So Hyun plays the role of Pyeonggang. She was born a princess and pursues a goal of establishing the status of the crumbled kingdom of Goguryeo. Ambitiously driven to become the first Queen of Goguryeo, she faces confusion because of emotions she experienced after meeting Ondal.
Meanwhile, Ondal will be portrayed by Ji Soo. He develops a desperate love that led him to fight against his beliefs.
In the first video released, the romance between Ondal and Pyeonggang was highlighted. Then, in the second video, the surrounding chaotic situation of Goguryeo period was featured.

Notably, the fearless transition of Kim So Hyun to her character is palpable. Just as the sentiment of Ondal’s character is written all over his demeanor.
River Where The Moon Rises is slated for broadcast next month on KBS 2TV’s Monday-Tuesday slot following Royal Secret Agent.
