School 2021 scheduled first broadcast episodes are delayed as Kim Yo Han tested positive for COVID-19.
Upcoming Wednesday and Thursday series of KBS2 holds up as the production team of School 2021 follows preventive measures of the pandemic. It is also confirmed that the series’ lead actor, Kim Yo Han tested positive.
The production team stated, “One of the auxiliary cast members was tested positive for COVID-19 on the 13th. After conducting related tests on all the staff and cast members, Kim Yo Han was tested positive. The rest were tested negative.”
“Those who had close contact with a definite diagnosis were self-isolated according to the instructions of the quarantine authorities,” they added.
Furthermore, “The producers have been working hard to prevent epidemics through PCR tests, prevention, and temperature checks regularly. We will continue to look into the situation and make sure that there are no problems in the future.”
The broadcasting station also announced that the series rearranges its first broadcast schedule for a week.
“We decided to postpone the first broadcast to November 24th. We inform you that the product presentation will be delayed by a week.”
School 2021 threads on the lives of 18-year-old students going on a different route from the usual university entrance examination. Chasing dreams, forming friendships and embarking on a challenging journey, these teenagers stand on ambiguous grounds.
Kim Yo Han, Cho Yi Hyun, Choo Young Woo, Han Bo Reum Byeol, Jeon Seok Ho, and Park In Hwan set to star in the series. School 2021 is the eighth part of the KBS “School” series, which has produced exceptional stories and actors since 1999.
The series is led by Director Kim Min Tae (Witch at Court) and written by Dong Hee Son (Miss Granny) and Jo Ah Ra.
School 2021 aims to air for the first time at 9:30 PM KST on November 24.
