Premiering on April 22, Shooting Stars held a production presentation online with its gleaming casts!
The drama depicts the stories of the people behind the entertainment industry, which includes PRs, managers, and writers who are also responsible for cleaning the mess of their stars.
Lee Sung Kyung portrays Oh Han-Byul, the head of the PR team of Star Force Entertainment. Meanwhile, Kim Young-dae plays Gong Tae-sung, who is also known as the top star of their agency.
As the drama unfolds the reality behind the entertainment industry, a love also blooms between the two as they realized that they are falling in love with each other.
Main Leads Gave Glimpses About Their Characters
During the production presentation, Lee Sung Kyung talked about her impressions when she saw the script and the actual synchronization rate of the drama to the entertainment industry.
Meanwhile, her leading man Kim Young Dae, admits that his character is similar to him.
“I’m very light, fun, and cheerful. There are two aspects of Gong Tae-sung I just showed you, but the lighter side is similar to mine. The heavy side was something I had to learn. I was a rookie, so I learned a lot about the script. It was a deeper experience to be grateful to the staff around me.”
Other actors such as Yoon Jong Hoon and Kim Yoon Hye who got the roles of managers shared that Shooting Stars has a lot of cute episodes that make the drama appealing to the audience.
“This is a story in the entertainment industry. The lovely, pretty, and cute episodes that take place in it seem to be the biggest advantage. It’s comical and lovelier, and it’s not portraying bad things to look at,” said Jong Hoon.
Meanwhile, Lee Jung Shin, who plays a lawyer role boasts about how he assimilated to the character well. He remarked, “I think the synchronization rate is about 95%. The details are alive, so it’s fun just reading the script. Everyone is looking forward to it.”
Lastly, Park Sojin dresses up as a reporter in the entertainment department and believes that reporters have a very significant role in the industry.
Charming Point To Anticipate In Shooting Stars
Ending the presentation, director Lee Soo Hyun answered why the drama piques the interest of the audience, and how Shooting Stars is different from other dramas that are set in the entertainment industry.
“Shooting Star” seems to have a different point of unfolding stories of various professions rather than delving into or solving cases with a big villain. A lot of cameo actors helped me. It would be fun if you could look at it with anticipation.”
Director Lee takes pride in how no one was hurt or harmed during the filming process. Empathizing to the highlighted career people in the story, he relayed wanting to convey the highs and lows so that the viewers can relate to them.
