Celebrating a decade of amazing Korean drama broadcast, jTBC tapped on bankable actors Cho Seung Woo and Park Shin Hye for Sisyphus: The Myth!
The 10th anniversary special drama has completed its filming and goes to its scheduled post-production. Orchestrating the series is Director Jin Hyuk. His drama portfolio boasts favorites including The Legend of the Blue Sea, Doctor Stranger, The Master’s Sun and City Hunter to name a few. Working on the script are writers Jun Chan Ho and Lee Je In.
Dubbed as cryptic fantasy series, Sisyphus: The Myth promises a high-quality story. It plans to present a new paradigm of drama genre with innovative cinematography and a solid screenplay that transcend time and space.
Genius Engineer meets Strong Female Fighter
Its rough sketch of the main characters also build intrigue. Cho Seung Woo suits up to the role of genius engineer Han Tae-sool. A person of high-intellect, his coding and engineering skills. By pouring out innovative achievements for his quantum time research, he has been dubbed as the “miracle of Korean science and engineering world” and a national hero.
But the reality is different. That is because after his brother’s sudden death ten years ago, he relentlessly pursued his research causing the company’s stock to fluctuate. Then one day, he discovers the incredible truth about his brother’s death, and dangerous journey begins.
Portraying the role of Kang Seo-hae, Park Shin Hye takes the character of a powerful female warrior. She will also save Tae-sool in his dangerous situation. With unimaginable combat skills, she glides through Seoul’s high-rise buildings with ropes, and even beat big men with bare hands.
An accomplished sniper, she is as explosive as her skills in detonating bombs. Having endured the harsh reality, she learned her survival skills from gangsters and warlords. Then, one day she meets Han Tae-sul and they embark on a dangerous road.
Promising to produce the best possible work, the production team remarked the series will be legendary like its title. It also attest that the actors and staff worked hard for the highly-anticipated series.
Slated to air in the first half of 2021, Sisyphus: The Myth follows the slot to be vacated by Run On.
