My Youth (WT) tells a heartfelt romance between a man who begins an ordinary life later than most, and a woman who must disrupt the peace of her first love to achieve her own success.
The story follows these two characters as they reunite after 10 years. They supported each other during the darkest times of their lives. Their journey to rekindle the brilliance of their youth is expected to offer comfort and deep emotions to viewers.
The production team behind the drama, known for their work on hits like Yumi’s Cells, Shopaholic Louis, and Run On, is also generating high expectations. Director Lee Sang-yeop is known for his delicate and visually appealing directing, while writer Park Si-hyeon has been praised for crafting emotional romances.
Song Joong Ki will take on the role of Sunwoo Hae, a novelist and florist who has found peace after escaping the chaos of life. Once a shining child actor, Sunwoo Hae was forgotten due to the greed of adults, but his encounter with Sung Je-yeon, who holds onto his past, forces him to remember the purpose he had long forgotten.
Song Joong-ki, who has recently found success with dramas like Reborn Rich and Vincenzo, is returning to romance with high expectations for his portrayal of a man navigating memories of his first love.
Chun Woo Hee will portray Sung Je-yeon, the ambitious team leader of Phil Entertainment. Once living a carefree life in a wealthy family, her world crumbled, and now she fiercely pursues success. In her quest, she finds Sunwoo Hae and disrupts his peace, but as they reconnect, she begins to confront her own past and changes along the way.
Known for her impressive performances in The 8 Show, The Atypical Family and Delightfully Deceitful; Chun Woo Hee is anticipated to shine as the “emotional queen” alongside Song Joong-ki.
