Song Kang Exudes Graceful Aura In New Drama “Navillera”

Song Kang is definitely the man of the hour. Following the release of Sweet Home on Netflix, he  offers a heartwarming new drama, Navillera.

Navillera, a heartwarming story starring Song and Park In Hwan, is set to premiere on March 22 on Netflix. This centers around the unlikely friendship that blossoms between Chae Rok (Song) and Deok Chul (Park). The latter is a 70 year old man who suddenly decides to take up ballet under Chae Rok.

Fans of the eagerly anticipated webtoon are excited to see the characters unfold onscreen. Expectation is high for Director Han Dong Hwa, popular for Squad 38 and Miss Lee. Director Han and writer Lee Eun Mi, known for the popular drama Tunnel, reunite for this drama.

In Navillera, Deok Chul is a retired postman who chases after his lifelong dream to become a ballet dancer. He crosses path with Song’s character, Chae Rok, a talented ballet dancer. Considered a late bloomer, Chae Rok will be Deok Chul’s ballet teacher. Their meeting inevitably changes both the men’s lives.

Netflix has released the trailer much to the delight of eager fans. In the trailer, Deok Chul is slowly coming to terms with his sunset years. He revisits his ballet ambition and gets to meet the talented Chae Rok.

Deok Chul’s touches hearts as he bravely says, “I’ve never done anything I wanted to do”. This signals his journey of self-fullfilment.

 

Chae Rok is frustrated about his life. Adding to this, nothing is going as he expected. In a moment of despair, Chae Rok says, “I don’t know how to live in the future, whether there’s a tomorrow or not.”

Chae Rok rediscovers passion in his new student Deok Chul. The latter will unknowingly inspire him with his words, “I only have one life. That’s why this moment is precious to me.” Even in the winter of life, Deok Chul will revive his dream. Inevitably, he inspires Chae Rok to chase after his passion.

Watch the elegant and heartwarming drama when it premieres on Netflix on March 22. Netflix will release new episodes every Monday and Tuesday at 10:00 pm Philippine Standard Time, two hours after its Korean release.
