Police Class

Set for premiere next month, the drama talks about the life of a detective-turned-professor at the National Police University, whose past life practically revolves around catching criminals. He will then meet a hacker and a freshman student, who will help and work with him in solving a lingering case.

Police University will show the professor and student’s life at a campus, while also putting the spotlight on their great synergy. Since it is a work by Yu Gwan Mo and Min Jeong, expectations are now rising regarding what kind of portrayal the cast will bring to the table.

A MEANINGFUL AND PRODUCTIVE MEETING

During the first table-read gathering, Director Yu Gwan Mo and Writer Min Jeong welcomed Cha Tae Hyun, Jin Young, Lee Jong Hyuk and Hong Soo Hyun, warmly and happily.

Apart from the lead cast, Kang Shin Il, Song Jin Woo, Kim Young Soon, Lee Dal, Yoo Young Jae, Jung Soo Jung, and Chu Young Woo were also present on the site. The combination of the cast is truly a refreshing sight to see, given how diverse it is and how it combines veteran and young actors from different generations.

Prior to starting the actual script reading, Gwan Mo stated, “I hope that no one gets hurt during the journey from spring to autumn, and I hope that everyone is healthy and, above all, that everyone is happy.”

“With the determination that this work will be the last, I will do my best to burn my soul,” he added.

MEET THE STAR-STUDDED CAST OF POLICE UNIVERSITY

Showing off his expertise in acting, Cha Tae Hyun quickly transformed into Yoo Dong Man, who is a passionate veteran detective who will do everything to correct the wrongs in society. He was able to liven up the atmosphere by exhibiting his playful side as well as his applaudable skills.

Meanwhile, Jinyoung proves his exceptional skills in picking up emotions easily by playing the role of Kang Seon Ho, who is a hacker slash freshman at National Police University.

His serious yet friendly image in real life perfectly fits his brainy role in the drama and he was able to steal the attention of everyone by perfectly controlling his eyes, tone and voice. Jin Young was also able to deliver his lines well in the table-read, especially his fighting scenes with Cha Tae Hyun in the drama, prompting everyone, including the staff, to anticipate their chemistry and connection.

Furthermore, Lee Jong Hyuk easily switches to his role namely Kwon Hyuk Pil, who is a law professor at the National Police University, along with Hong Soo Hyun, who will play the character of Choi Hee Soo, a bubbly judo professor at the same school.

Starting off on a good note, the first table-read was full of laughter and enthusiasm, given how interesting the script is and how comfortable the cast are with each other.
