Giving a preview of what to look forward to in The Good Detective 2, JTBC dropped teaser videos ahead of its July 30 launch.
In the trailer, a strong suspect in the serial murder case opens the door to season 2.
Gang Do-chang (Son Hyun Joo), a veteran detective who has gone through everything, wants only one thing – and that is to live his life as he pleases.
After the case of Lee Dae-cheol, an unfair death row inmate, trauma arose, and as he reached menopause in middle age, he wants to quietly end his criminal detective life.
Unfortunately, his partner, Oh Ji-hyuk continues to lead him to the scene despite his pleadings. This is because, in a serial murder case where five people were killed, they must stop more unfortunate victims from coming out.
Bringing the zesty bromance of Do-chang and Ji-hyuk, they chase and work together for the case. In the end, the suspect ‘Kim Hyung-bok’ is identified, but Oh Ji-hyuk wonders if he is the real culprit.
While curiosity is soaring as to why he has sprouted such suspicions, the movements of the people in a big conglomerate company is suspicious. The chairman and vice-chairman ask Woo Tae-ho (Jung Moon Sung” for help. The appearance of Chun Nana (Kim Hyo Jin), forebodes a hard-to-conquer predicament for the exemplary detectives.
As predicted by Do-chang who thinks he will end up getting tangled in a twisted case of unearthing the wicked truth; the second season screams a more powerful narrative.
The production team hopes the viewers enjoy deciphering the investigation of the detectives.
“From the first episode, several characters who are entangled in various stories will appear in the serial murder. Who is the real culprit, how the real crime is concealed and manipulated in it, and the development of the case will be spectacular.”
The Good Detective 2 premieres on July 30 on JTBC!
