Park Shin Hye is set to undergo a striking transformation into a demon in the upcoming SBS Friday-Saturday drama The Judge from Hell.
Premiering on September 21, the series is an action-packed fantasy where the demon Kang Bit-na takes over the body of a judge. She encounters the passionate and humane detective Han Da-on in a nightmarish world, and through their interactions, she evolves into a true judge who punishes wrongdoers.
Park Shin Hye, in the lead role, is poised to showcase a bold new side of her acting. The teaser poster, released on August 16, reveals her intense and commanding presence. She is depicted holding a bouquet of blood-red flowers, her gaze locked on the camera with a steely resolve. The stark contrast between her pale skin and the vibrant red of her lips, clothes, and flowers creates a striking visual impact. The devil’s dark shadow looming behind her human form, along with the vivid purple glow in her eyes, hints at the dual nature of Kang Bit-na—both malevolent and enchanting.
The production team of Judge from Hell commented, “Park Shin-hye’s portrayal of Kang Bit-na, a demon inhabiting a human judge, will deliver a thrilling catharsis as she metes out her own brand of justice—fierce, loving, and formidable. We encourage viewers to look forward to Park Shin-hye’s daring and unconventional performance in this role.”
The Judge from Hell is scheduled to air its first two episodes consecutively on Saturday, September 21, at 10 p.m. on SBS.
