Premiering on March 1st, the series is serving up a refreshing take on “opposites attract.” Starring Lee Sun Bin and Kang Tae Oh, the latest poster release has everyone buzzing with anticipation for their unpredictable chemistry.
The Potato Lab tells the story of Kim Mi-kyung (Lee Sun Bin), whose life revolves around potatoes, and So Baek-ho (Kang Tae Oh), a man of unwavering principles. When Baek-ho enters Mi-kyung’s potato-centric world, sparks fly (and maybe some potatoes, too!). Their hilariously contrasting personalities, set against the backdrop of a mountain valley potato research institute, promise plenty of laughs and a unique kind of excitement.
The newly released poster perfectly captures the quirky push-and-pull relationship between them. With Mi-kyung playfully gripping Baek-ho’s hair, her eyes twinkling with curiosity, it’s clear she’s found a research subject just as intriguing as her beloved potatoes. Meanwhile, Baek-ho, visibly bewildered yet unresisting, hints at a transformation in the making.
The cheeky caption, “Is this a ssam? A some?” (a play on Korean dating slang), teases the irresistible tension between these two opposites. Will their fiery clashes turn into something deeper?
Lee Sun-bin embodies the passionate potato researcher Kim Mi-kyung, whose friendly and down-to-earth charm is about to be shaken up by the arrival of So Baek-ho.
Kang Tae-oh transforms into the principled So Baek-ho, whose orderly world is turned upside down when he encounters the unconventional ways of the potato research center and its spirited researcher. The chemistry between Lee Sun-bin and Kang Tae-oh as this “potato couple” is already generating a lot of buzz.
