Park Hyung Sik To Unleash Formidable Dark Power in Action-Fantasy Drama “Twelve”

The highly anticipated K-action hero series Twelve has unveiled its most formidable force yet—Ogwi, played by Park Hyung Sik.

Inspired by the Eastern zodiac, the drama follows 12 angels living in human form who wage epic battles to protect humanity from the forces of evil.

But Ogwi is no ordinary villain. Possessed by the power of a crow, he is a figure of overwhelming menace, feared by both angels and humans alike. Once sealed beyond the gates of hell after a fierce clash with the angels, Ogwi is resurrected thousands of years later by Sa-min (Kim Chan-hyung), an ambitious figure hungry for power. His return plunges the human world into darkness, setting the stage for an inevitable showdown with the 12 angels.

Intriguingly, Ogwi has no memories of his violent past—yet fate pushes him back into the orbit of his celestial enemies, sparking a storm of destiny, rivalry, and perhaps even transformation.

Park Hyung-sik shared his approach to the role:

Crows are incredibly intelligent, but you can’t easily read them. I wanted Ogwi to have that same elusive quality—where you’re never quite sure what’s going on inside him.

When it comes to action, Park infused Ogwi’s fight style with the elegance and precision of a crow’s wingbeats. From fierce confrontations with angelic warriors like Tae-san (Ma Dong-seok) to high-wire stunt work, he delivers a mix of grace and lethality designed to keep viewers hooked. On set, his seamless wire action reportedly drew admiration from the crew.

Director Han Yoon-sun hinted at deeper layers to the character:

Though Ogwi opposes the 12 Angels, I wanted him to interact with them, grow alongside them, and earn the audience’s affection. He’s designed to stand out in every scene.

The newly released posters and stills capture Ogwi’s chilling presence—a pale, cold figure shrouded in a black aura, with the Chinese character for “crow” (烏) looming like a dark omen. They tease a dangerous mind working behind the scenes, plotting to engulf the human world in evil while keeping his true intentions hidden.

Featuring mythology, high-octane action, and a complex antihero, Twelve promises an electrifying battle between celestial guardians and the forces of darkness. The drama premieres Saturday, August 23 at 9:20 PM on KBS 2TV and will be available globally on Disney+ immediately after broadcast.
