Kim Jin Woo is heading to the small screen.
WINNER’s Kim Jin Woo (also known as JINU) takes on a role in KBS 2TV’s new Sports-themed series. On January 10, YG Entertainment confirms JINU’s appearance in the drama Pure Boxer. The network’s upcoming series is a Sports drama based on the novel Pure Boxer Lee Kwon Sook.
Kim Jin Woo will portray Han Jae Min. He is a “face genius” that everyone acknowledges. Interestingly, he also works as the Deputy Principal of a kindergarten.
He is the first love of genius boxer Lee Kwon Sook. Portraying Jae-min’s love interest is actress Kim So Hye (Best Chicken, Her Bucket List).
He also works as the Deputy Principal of a kindergarten. JINU expressed his excitement by saying he feels “honored and excited to be part of Pure Boxer”. He added, “I will do my best to show a good image through the drama.” Apart from JINU and Kim So Hye, the series also stars Lee Sang Yeob (Eve, Good Casting) and Park Ji Hwan (Our Blues, Touch Your Heart).
Pure Boxer is slated to air in 2023.
Meanwhile, Inner Circles in South Korea can catch JINU and WINNER on January 25, 2023 at CGV cinemas with the release of Winner 2022 Concert The Circle: The Movie.
