Yoo Jun Sang grabs the hearts of Alchemy of Souls Part 2: Light and Shadow fans as he transforms into his new appearance.
tvN’s fantasy and romance drama Alchemy of Souls Part 2: Light and Shadow continues the tale of how young mages overcome their twisted destinies. The second season explores the return of Jang Wook (Lee Jae Wook) from the dead and the stories of new mages three years later.
In Alchemy of Souls Part 1, Yoo Jun Sang played the role of Park Jin. His character already garnered a lot of attention in the first two episodes of its second installment. Park Jin’s relationships reflect his contrasting personalities, from his sweet romance with Kim Do Joo to his fatherly attitude toward Jang Wook.
Park Jin, who risked his life by resigning as army chief on the condition that Jang Wook would not utilize the ice stone’s power, had become a professional housekeeper after three years. Even if he is unskilled in the kitchen, his softer demeanor and warm interactions with Kim Do Joo suggest that he no longer carries the burden of being the leader.
Despite all of this, Park Jin continued to look at Jang Wook with kindness. He immediately showed his concern to Chang Wook when he found out he is about to get married after returning from the verge of death and suffering hellish days. Park Jin’s reprimanding attitude was evidence of his deep love for Jang Wook.
The audience’s expectation of Yoo Joon Sang was heightened through the way he demonstrated sincerity and compassion for the suffering character of Jang Wook. Fans are therefore anticipating Yoo Jun Sang’s performance in the upcoming episodes that will follow.
Alchemy of Souls Part 2: Light and Shadow airs every Saturday and Sunday at 9:10 pm on Netflix
