Han Yi-han wages war against Banseok University Hospital while Seok-young is finally on the right track to the questions she had in the 4th episode of Doctor Lawyer!
It looks like new allies and betrayals are up in the narrative. We can only hope that sooner, Yi-han and Seok-young join forces.

Doctor Lawyer Episode 4 Highlights
Previously, Han Yi-han helped clear his old colleague’s name.
However, just as Ki-tae was about to leave the detention center, an incident happened and a death row convict killed him.
Seok-young requests for Ki-tae to be transferred for the autopsy procedure.
“Let’s make him regret being a doctor without regard to human life.”
Frustrated, Yi-han laments Ki-tae’s misfortune and admits overlooking how vile his foe can get. Thanks to his supportive team, he did not let the kick to his morale linger. He feels even more motivated to make the remorseless Gu Jin-ki pay for his sins.
The next day, Yi-han declares war by making the prosecution and Banseok Medical Hospital responsible for the unfair treatment of the doctor who died owing to the lack of proper investigation.
Later, Seok-young and Yi-han meet to witness the autopsy of Ki-tae. They also go for a drink to discuss where their story goes.
Confessing she thought his return would be about clearing his name, he responds with cryptic words about how she does not know how intricate the connections and corruptions are at Banseok.
He tips her nonetheless of a husband-and-wife that she needs to look into that is connected to Banseok.
Meanwhile, Jayden Lee meets Chairman Gu and presidentiable Lim Tae-moon and their children. After dinner, Lim Tae-moon requests Chairman Gu to have her son operate on him and not use a robot.
Citing the remarkable reputation of Hyun-seong handling VIP clients, Chairman Gu relents with the request since Tae-moon does not know Yi-han has performed those surgeries.
“Do you know how to torment someone with the least effort? Sue them. Whether they’ve done nothing wrong or not, just sue them with anything.”
The aftermath of Yi-han’s announcement to handle possible medical malpractice done by Banseok Medical keeps the team busy. But their latest venture puts them to a test as they need to filter people claiming they were victims of the hospital.
Cheering up his team, Yi-han assures them that the lawsuits thrown at Banseok would put them under stress. Thankfully, they found a case that qualifies for the help they can extend.
A student who had her operation has since failed to get her voice. Apparently, during the operation, the anesthesia was not properly done. What’s sad is that she has a stunning singing voice and it is also her dream to be a singer. But the operation cut her dream.
Chairman Gu relays to his son Hyun-sung about Lim Tae-moon’s demand to be operated by him and not the robot. He assures his son that he will sort out who can operate on Lim and orders him to just focus on Yi-han.
Meanwhile, Yi-han visits Banseok hospital to gather Ki-tae’s things and notify the lawyer of the lawsuits he just submitted. He also caught up with his former junior.
However, they bump into Hyun-sung who right away sees red with Yi-han’s presence in the hospital. Knowing his annoyance, Yi-han taunts him further by asking who his ghost doctor is.
Their confrontation is halted by Jayden Lee’s appearance. The latter goes to a heated investment talk with Chairman Gu. They arrive at a conclusion that smells future falling out.
“I knew you would come – Doctor Lawyer Han Yi-han”
Mulling over his encounter with Yi-han, Hyun-sung’s sour mood escalates. He calls Yuna to hang out, but she responds she’s with a friend.
The “friend” she met is actually Jayden Lee. Their faint flirtation gets a steamy fulfillment as he brings her to his place, which is in the same building where Hyun-sung lives as well.
Back at his office place, Yi-han checks on Ki-tae’s things in the hopes of retrieving the file he mentioned before he died. Just then, he receives a phone call from Jayden Lee’s assistant to go to Banseok Hospital.
What he witnessed is a bloody mess that is Yu-na and his new crazy client who knew he will come. He gets into a situation where his abilities being a doctor and lawyer will be tested.
Doctor Lawyer Episode 4 Musings
Shin Sung Rok has such an interesting character in Doctor Lawyer. We don’t know yet if he will help Yi-han or cause problems. But having them in the story assures us that if the plot goes bad, we can be forgiving because of them. *chuckles
With how mercurial and impossible Hyun-sung is, his showdowns with either Yi-han and Jayden Lee are to be anticipated, too.
This episode left a thrilling cliffhanger and we don’t know if the collaboration between Yi-han and Jayden will proceed. It’s quite risky for Yi-han who is struggling to set a foothold on his vengeance plan.
Hopefully, Seok-young can see through her senior’s duplicity soon and help Yi-han with his plans.
