Finally revealing to Seokyung the truth about her brother’s death, Yi-han unloads some of his burdens somehow in the 3rd week of Doctor Lawyer.
While resolving the case of an aspiring idol singer who lost her voice, the hero is also getting close to claiming back his medical license.

“Yes, you’re the type that doesn’t explain things, right now and even then.”
Surprised to see Jayden Lee and Yuna in a terrible “high” situation from inducing illegal drugs, Yi-han administers first aid to both of them.
Meanwhile, Seok-young and her team begin the probe on the staff of Banseok Medical. They realize why the contract killer was hired since he does not have anything to lose.
She then receives a tip that someone is doing drugs at Banseok Medical. So, she brings her team to investigate.
Hyun-seong who is not on Jayden’s friendly side was cooperative, even defying his father.
When Seok-young sees a vial of napolene, Yi-han pleads to let go of the situation and bring Hyun-seong out. Knowing her ex-boyfriend will not give an answer, she motions to walk away.
Left with no choice, Yi-han confessed that her brother was murdered and did not die because of the operation.
Furious at his declaration, Seok-young threatens him coldly as he agrees that she can resent him for the rest of her life.
Confessing the preparations he gathered for the last five years, Yi-han sincerely pleads with her to forego the situation and promises to tell her everything when they go out.
“If everyone finds out that your fiancee is sleeping in there, will you be able to handle the consequence?”
Fighting rudeness with rudeness, Jayden shows Yuna’s earring that Hyun-seong gifted. That is after the latter keeps insisting on opening a room where Yuna is.
On the brink of following his stubbornness, Hyun-seong gets interrupted by Seok-young who asked for an apology for invading Jayden’s place.
Easily seeing through Jayden’s ploy, Yi-han gives him a punch for setting him up in the situation with Hyun-seong and Seok-young. Praising his intellect, Jayden reminds him that he cannot tell what happened since they have a client-lawyer relationship. He also proposes that Yi-han officially works for him.
Using Yi-han’s medical license restoration as the bargaining chip, Jayden conveys he wants Yi-han since he has knowledge about Banseok and Gu Jin-gi.
Before agreeing, Yi-han made Jayden promise not to take drugs anymore, and if he does their deal is off. Shaking hands, Yi-han and Jayden agree to work together.
“You can’t throw us money to keep my daughter quiet. Don’t make her feel guilty so you can silence her. We won’t take your money.”
Yi-han meets with Banseok’s lawyer to settle the civil case of aspiring idol So-yeon who lost her voice in the operation.
Offering a billion won for consolation, Banseok’s Lawyer Pyo, cites their condition for the video she uploaded to be removed and to clarify the malpractice through another video. Pleading her mom not to accept the money, Lawyer Pyo tried to appeal guilt for them to relent.
But the So-yeon’s mother refused the offer. Unknown to them Lawyer Pyo received an investigation about So-yeon.
Meanwhile, Yo-sub contemplates the subpoena he received about So-yeon’s case. Lawyer Pyo who senses he will be a liability in the case already briefed him not to attend the hearings.
Yo-sub also conversed with Anaesthesiologist Lee who also slips about Ki-tae’s fate which made Yo-sub even more confused.
At the trial, Lawyer Pyo reveals So-yeon has suffered from delusion and received treatments for it.
Pushing So-yeon to an extremely agitated state, she blurted out that a different surgeon came to operate on her when a VIP came.
Yi-han turn the tables by presenting Yo-sub whom Lawyer Pyo announced to be attending a convention somewhere.
“In this world, proper doctors still outnumber those who aren’t. Of course, an attorney who only defends despicable ones wouldn’t know.”
It turns out that Yi-han had a heart-to-heart talk with Yo-sub and confessed he knows he’s playing Hyun-seong’s ghost.
Genuinely lecturing him on how owning up to surgery mistakes is definitely hard, Yi-han asserts that the patient who received the repercussion of that mistake is also in the same position.
Admitting that he indeed replaced the attending surgeon, two accounts arise in the case. The judge then relays the verdict of medical malpractice which opened an opportunity for Seok-young to prosecute Hyun-seong for attempted murder and negligence of duty.
Fulfilling his promise to tell everything Yi-han invited Seok-young to the trial with that intention. He also advertently led her to pick up on indicting Hyun-seong.
Bringing her to his law office, he presented his room full of research about Banseok Medical Foundation.
He also confessed how he admitted to breaching Medical Service Act so he can escape the detention alive. She finally learns that her respected senior works for Gu Jin-gi.
Asking the right question of why Gu Jin-gi did a horrible thing to her brother, Yi-han responds how he had been a ghost doctor of Hyun-seong to improve his reputation by operating on VIP clients.
He did it so he can get to operate Seok-ju at Banseok. Recounting the situation of an urgent VIP brought to the hospital the same day Seok-ju was operated on, Seok-young finally got the picture of what happened. That the heart that was given to her brother was taken out to make that VIP live.
Banseok’s resident dirty work executioner, Nam Hyuk-chul has asked Seok-young to bring Han Yi-han to become his lawyer. Her senior, Seok-ho agrees without asking.
Before meeting Hyuk-chul, Yi-han also meet his estranged wife Jung-hyun and made a point that he knows the couple’s situation regarding their son. Yi-han asks her to join him when he meets her husband.
However, when Hyuk-chul requests a lone time with Yi-han, he right away attempts to kill him using a hidden obsidian knife.
Doctor Lawyer Episodes 5 & 6 Musings
Seok-young if really smart as we perceived her to be should know by now that Yi-han is telling the truth.
Technically, he does not deserve the alienation and disappointment of Seok-young. His decision to not reveal the truth makes sense since he barely had any power to contend with Jin-gi.
Now that Jayden is in the mix, the outwitting game gets more interesting. For all we know, he could be the recipient of the heart that should have gone to Seok-ju.
That’s what makes the predictability of the series unpredictable.
Additionally, his interactions with Jin-gi and Hyun-seong are the life of the party in the series. We hope nothing but whatever Hyun-seong does not deserve for being incapable and hopelessly arrogant.
Rounding up the people who owed him, Han Yi-han has overwhelming virtual prayers from viewers to back him up. We also hope that he reconnects with Seok-young.
But their love can wait of course since there are small battles to be won to finally reach Yi-han’s journey to reclaim his honor and make Gu Jin-gi and his son pay for everything.
Obviously, Gu Jin-gi quickly acquiesced to restoring Yi-han’s medical license because he intended to have him be killed.
Can Yi-han make the temperamental husband-and-wife side with him?
