Lee La-el strikes while the allure is hot in the third chapter of Eve!
Maneuvering the gravitational attraction she initially cast, Yoon-kyum fights and questions her intentions. But would he endure?

Eve Episode 3 Highlights
“Call me unni when we are alone and Ms. Han when there are people.”
Making sure his son-in-law would not misbehave, Chairman Han appoints his trusted right-hand man Kim Jung-chul as Vice Chairman of LY Group. The evil fiend straight away proceeds with what he knows best – and that’s currying evil deeds for the Han father and daughter.
Making sure no woman sways Yoon-kyum, he killed Madame Jung, a woman reportedly close to So-ra’s husband. Convinced that the woman he saw is La-el, Eun-pyeong is perplexed about why she denies knowing him. He thinks she’s living a different life because of Chairman Kang.
Meanwhile, Lee La El moves forward with her plan. Knowing best to feed well So-ra’s vain personality and ego, she was able to get to her good side. She was even invited to the Yoon-kyum’s posh villa with her husband for a banquet.
After receiving a call from a restricted number, La-el and her adoptive mother contemplate their plan of finding an important ledger. Her awkward phone conversation with Yoon-kyum hints at the rich man’s withheld emotions towards La-el.
They also deduce how Yoon-kyum knows he is being tracked by his wife; thus, he has an exclusive phone number for personal use.
“If you don’t bet everything, the game never ends.”
Going to the usual socializing, Ra-el sneaks her gaze on Yoon-kyum who also does the same. Then, she also played cards with other guests.
With double meaning in her statement, she wages all her chips. Her special taunt reaches Yoon-kyum. In the end, she also wins the card game against him and So-ra.
Meanwhile, Yoon-kyum learns about what happened to Madame Jung and felt suffocated. Just then, La-el arrives to give him a simple present. Engaging in a casual talk, she tells him about what kind of people like tango.
She explains how dancing tango can repair and heal feelings. Pushing her stand more, she tells him how she felt something special when they danced before as if she met her twin flame. She tells him she felt the yearning inside him that she wants to fill up.
Responding to her words, Yoon-kyum coldly remarks that he does not need healing. He also berates her by saying he senses danger in her. Declaring he’s not attracted to her, he tells La-el to stay away from him.
Respecting his point, La-el did not back down without a fight by asserting that if they are a twin flame, she’s sure that Yoon-kyum is the runner.
“I can only imagine how long she prepared for this.”
Just then Kim Jung-chul arrives mumbling nonsense at the party. So-ra urges him to the card table and meets La-el. Barely breaking down, La-el leaves for a safe place and wounds her leg so she can calm down.
Unknown to her, Yoon-kyum followed her and sees her cryptic state and action. Quickly denying what her appearance seems like, La-el leaves him.
Gye-young goes to meet Eun-pyeong to relay what she found out about La-el. It was revealed that her husband Jin-wook is one of the people closely involved in the acquisition of her father’s business.
That’s why she has set clear rules with Jin-wook to not casually touch or make advances on her. Worried about knowing La-el is risking everything in her life for a dangerous mission, he made up his mind that he won’t allow her to do that.
“You needed to heal which is why you saw that in others.”
Receiving a lecture from her adoptive mother Moon-hee, La-el promised to strengthen herself. Moon-hee gives a warning that she will not spare understanding for anyone who ruins her vengeance plan, even her.
It turns out that Moon-hee was her benefactor when she suffered immensely following the aftermath of her father’s death and mother’s vanishing. They share the same fate because of the wickedness of Chairman Han.
The next day, La-el and Yoon-kyum meet at a music instrument store because of the upcoming auction for an Astor Piazzolla bandoneon. Escaping the encounter, La-el leaves the store but Yoon-kyum followed her.
Following the trail of their interaction, Yoon-kyum demands her to reveal what she’s hiding. La-el-responds with a brave kiss. She tells him not to overthink and just be honest.
Pushing her luck, she affirms how they both passionately feel the attraction. She proposes they just go to where their bodies lead. Inching closer, she again plants another kiss.
Eve Episode 3 Musings
Eve has shown La-el’s weakness whenever she feels the presence of Kim Jung-chul. Thankfully, the villain did not recognize her yet.
We also saw how disturbing Moon-hee was when she learned about La-el’s momentary lapse in front of their target. More of their similar fate would unfold along the way.
Utilizing tango as an implied reference to the actual emotional turmoil suffered by La-el and Yoon-kyum in their equally stifling life is this episode’s highlight.
La-el, on her end, had been bound to an act of revenge that made her dedicate her entire life for it to be accomplished. Yoon-kyum is restrained by his father-in-law that he can barely live a life that is his own.
Both wounded in their own ways, inevitably, La-el’s goal might turn into a kind of surprise that will complicate her situation with Moon-hee.
The possibility of her payback bouncing is likely. Given no woman survives the Sauron-eyes of Chairman Han, Yoon-kyum has a lot to consider if he succumbs to her intentional proposition of an affair.
Heading in that direction hypes the mental game in this drama. It’s interesting to note how La-el reels us to her vengeance plan making us worry that her withheld trauma might spill her ploy.
On the bright side, La-el has Eun-pyeong’s back no matter what. However, it’s gonna be a long shot for her to achieve the kind of peace that she wants.
