Finding out the consequences Seul-bi will face for prophesying, Soo-kwang tries to win her back in the recent episodes of Jinxed At First.
Jinxed At First episodes 9 and 10 also reveals more secrets about the goddesses of fortune and give hope that Lee Seul-bi can live a normal life.

Jinxed At First Episode 9 & 10 Highlights
From Lee Seul-bi’s prophesy of Soo-kwang, he finally met the woman he needs to talk to and asks for the prophesy witch. However, Soo-kwang pushes her away and told her to go to the fortune-telling shop instead.
The woman then left her business card to Soo-kwang in case he will change his mind. Furthermore, Soo-kwang unexpectedly meets Seul-bi again as he accepted an invitation from Dong-shik to catch up with them.
“Come to me when you’re determined to turn her into an ordinary one. But don’t be too late. It’s dangerous to leave Seul-bi alone.”
Now that Dong-shik knows Seul-bi and Geumhwa’s group secrets, he continues to provoke Soo-kwang and Min-joon’s feelings by asking Seul-bi to forecast him. Soo-kwang then became furious after Seul-bi agreed to read Dong-shik but not for free.
With this, Soo-kwang realizes that Seul-bi has lost the will to wish for a normal life and allows people to use her anytime they want. He finally decides to talk to the woman who visited him and saw that she was also once a prophesy witch.
She also reveals that she is the twin sister of Mi-soo’s mother, who successfully escaped and became a mortal by destroying her pendant. She also warns Soo-kwang that Seul-bi’s life is becoming more in danger of blocking and absorbing the misfortunes of different people.
“Seul-bi. Come back. Don’t prophesy the future anymore. Come with me.”
After knowing what Seul-bi has to pay for prophesying, Soo-kwang went to Geumhwa Hotel to convince her to come back to their home. However, Seul-bi declines him since Soo-kwang’s harsh words left fresh wounds in her heart.
Additionally, Seul-bi also thought that she shouldn’t be in Soo-kwang’s life and cause him more misfortunes. Soo-kwang continues to win back, protect, and prevent Seul-bi to become a true witch.
Seul-bi asks Min-joon permission to go outside without any guards. After she finished her agendas with Seon Il-joong, she encounters Soo-kwang, who was worriedly looking for her since he knows that Il-joong can’t be trusted.
Then, Seul-bi invites Soo-kwang to eat in Seodong Market in Ms. Fang’s chicken restaurant. With the luck they continuously experience after Soo-kwang saved the market from being frauded, they are happy to see him together with Seul-bi again.
Before everyone returns to their shops, Seul-bi asked them a favor which she whispered separately to each one.
“My dad was in the hospital for 20 years. If I hadn’t brought Mi-soo back, would nothing have happened? Would Mi-soo and my dad be safe?”
Now that Seul-bi returns to Geumhwa Hotel after many misfortunes she has encountered, Seon Sam-joong’s fears gradually become reality. His son, Seon Min-joon, starts to disobey him and dangers Geumhwa Group’s reputation because of Seul-bi.
Since he knows what it cost to love a woman like Mi-soo, Sam-joong already warned his son not to fall in love with Seul-bi so that he won’t become like him. In addition, Seon Il-joong and Dong-shik start to eye Geumhwa Group and plan to take it from Sam-joong.
Furthermore, Secretary Cha suggests that Sam-joong should release Mi-soo from his hands to end the suffering he’s been experiencing. Nevertheless, Sam-joon finds it hard to let go of the woman who brings color yet misfortunes in his life.
Jinxed At First Episode 9 & 10 Musings
Lee Seul-bi’s bright and contagious character we await every week still leaves a void in the recent episodes of Jinxed At First. Her heartache and disappointments reflect in the way she dresses up, talks, and behave.
In spite of how she feels, Seul-bi continues to look after Soo-kwang and the family she became part of at Seodong Market. Moreover, even though she chose to be with Min-joon and her mother, Seul-bi unconsciously shows that her heart is still in Seodong Market.
With that, the people who wholeheartedly accept her received many blessings and are guided by Seul-bi. Like how the vendors of Seodong Market root for the couple, let’s also continue to hope that they will defy fate and that Seul-bi will live the life she wanted it to be.
Furthermore, Soo-kwang still has to find out how can he destroy Seul-bi’s necklace in order to remove her abilities. As what Euk-jin unveiled, the pendant that every prophesying witch cannot be easily destroyed.
