Danger and jinx follow Seul-bi and Soo-kwang around but love and kindness shield them in the recent episodes of Jinxed At First.
Finding love in the midst of troubles in Jinxed At First, Gong Soo-kwang confesses his feelings for Seul-bi. On the other hand, the vendors of Seodong Market suspect Seul-bi to be a witch as her predictions of them became true.

Jinxed At First Episodes 5 & 6 Highlights
Besides seeing people’s future using her powers, Lee Seul-bi can communicate with animals. She and Soo-kwang saw a lost puppy which appears to be Yeong-woo’s and was gifted by his grandmother from Busan.
Even though they safely return the puppy, Seul-bi felt the puppy wants to return home to Busan since Yeong-woo’s parents are busy. Seul-bi’s charms persuaded Soo-kwang to return the puppy to its original home.
“I have six chain restaurants in Seoul. Sell me some fish… You’re an honest person. So I think the fish you provide should be good.”
On the other hand, Chief Wang knows that a powerful individual is still looking for Seul-bi. Instead of directing its men away from Seul-bi, he unknowingly tells them that he saw her in Busan.
He was able to warn Soo-kwang, and they were able to ‘hide’ from these men effortlessly. Moreover, the two finally find Yeong-woo’s grandmother and returns the puppy to her.
However, they learned that she and Yeong-woo’s family are not in a good relationship because of Yeong-woo’s mental illness. Soo-kwang and Seul-bi then helped her apologize and made her realize her mistakes.
With their honesty and wisdom that helped her reconcile with her family, she asked Soo-kwang to supply ingredients for her restaurants in Seoul.
“Did you know that I would be in danger at the warehouse? What you say… will become reality soon.”
Now that Soo-kwang’s fish shop is flourishing, misfortune continues to find its way back to him. Min-joon’s cousin, Dong-shik, ordered his men to kidnap Seul-bi and Soo-kwang to see if Seul-bi is indeed a charm with powers.
He left a fake time bomb inside the warehouse to make the two anxious so that Seul-bi forces them to use her powers. As the time bomb is about to tick to the last second, Seul-bi finally uses her powers and stops the time.
At the right time, Chief Wang arrived to save the two while driving Soo-kwang’s truck and forced his way inside. Furthermore, Min-joon was also aware of Seul-bi’s situation but later became relaxed as he saw that the two safely returned home.
After Soo-kwang arrived home, he remembers Seul-bi was trying to stop him from leaving. He then confronts her about her predictions becoming real but Seul-bi still denies his assumptions.
Additionally, the sellers of Seodong Market are also starting to become suspicious of her and believe that Seul-bi is a witch. Knowing that Seul-bi is special, Soo-kwang defends and protects her from this gossip.
“Even if you find your family and leave me, even if I’m alone again, even if I’m the only one who gets hurt, it’s ok. I really like this moment when I’m with you.”
As if nothing happened, Dong-shik visits Soo-kwang at his home and requests to talk to him privately. Known to be one of the top students in their class, he tries to recruit Soo-kwang to work in their company.
Suddenly, rain starts to pour out, and Soo-kwang immediately thinks of Seul-bi because of the house’s roof holes. Despite the heavy rain, Soo-kwang rushes to reach his home and finds Seul-bi stopping the water leaks from drenching his books.
She knows that studying and books are Soo-Kwang’s dreams, hence she did her best to protect them. Seul-bi’s pure action made Soo-kwang realize that she’s a special person that fate destined him to be with.
He then finally admits and confesses his feelings to Seul-bi, sealing it with a kiss. On the other hand, Seul-bi surprises Soo-kwang with a mini-makeover of his house by panting with colorful art drawn by her, all bought with her own money.
With this, Soo-kwang won’t feel alone in his house and serves as a light in his life and home.
Jinxed At First Episodes 5 & 6 Musings
Goo Soo-kwang and Lee Seul-bi take us on another thrilling, fun, and magical journey as they fight misfortunes. Even though the couple’s romantic relationship flourishes quickly, their chemistry makes us crave more.
Additionally, Seul-bi and other goddesses of fortune are more powerful and special than we think they are. With what Seul-bi showcased in the recent episodes, we know that she can do more than be a good luck charm.
Nevertheless, we should also be wary of consequences when Seul-bi uses much of her power, as Sam-joong mentioned. Similar to what happened between him and his father. Mi-joo and her charms may take their toll on them.
On the contrary, Seul-bi and Soo-kwang’s adorable love story makes the series colorful and refreshing. Their simplest ways of showing love and appreciation reflect pure love, which everyone deserves to receive.
