Opening Week Highlights

Often looked down by other police investigation units, TCI, or Traffic Crime Investigation Team works on violations of traffic laws and regulations that endanger public safety or disrupt the flow of traffic. These offenses can range from minor infractions, such as speeding or improper parking, to more serious misdeeds, such as driving under the influence (DUI) or reckless driving.

Leading the team is Jung Chae-man (Heo Sung Tae) with Min So-hee (Kwak Sun Young), Eo Hyun-kyung (Moon Hee) and Woo Dong-gi (Lee Ho Chul) as members.

After trapping a car dealership that scams customers, the team connects the business to a serial murder case that targets elderly people.

They also meet Insurance Investigator Cha Yeon-ho (Lee Min Ki), a recluse investigator who graduated from Kaist.

Together, they bring justice to the merciless deaths of elderly people who were dishearteningly abused.

A year later, Yeon-ho joins the team with Captain Jung giving the task to So-hee to train him properly.

For his first case, a road accident with suspicious confessions from the people involved set a new case to be solved by TCI Team.

Opening Week Musings

Carving an engrossing police procedural story, Crash as advertised, looks all business delving into traffic-related crimes.

For its opening week, the insurance-driven crime presents how people have become aware of the tempting possibility insurance money can provide for cash-strapped people. Even killing their loved ones in the process.

While this is not the first time K-Dramaland featured insurance fraud, Crash ensured a noticeable focus on its selected police world to explore – vehicular accidents or crimes.

The first two episodes also neatly introduced the characters swiftly for expected traffic-crime-solving adventures. The hero’s back story and why he refuses to drive vehicles are expected to be revealed in future chapters.

Less dark than the usual crime series in recent years, viewers would enjoy a slew of traffic rules and violation information that the series is expected to explore.

Drift to gravitating crime-busting adventure with Team TCI in Crash! International fans can watch it on Disney+!
