Running away from the captors, Ro Seo and Nam Young spent the night in a peculiar well in Moonshine episode 9.
Discovering the well reaches someplace, Ro Seo and Nam Young learned that there is a secret tunnel headed to the wood ice storage. On the other hand, Sim Heon and his underlings hide under the well where Ro Seo and Nam Young are hiding when government officers gets near in their current location.

Moonshine Episode 9 Key Moments
“Once she comes into the palace, I do not have any intention of letting her go again.”
Considering Sim Heon recognizes Ro Seo’s face, it raises the likelihood of her life being in grave danger. This leads Nam Young to devise a plan to keep her in the Prince’s palace, wherein she would be protected until Sim Heon is apprehended.
After safely returning from the well, Nam Young requests from Prince Lee whether Ro Seo can stay in the palace momentarily. may temporarily reside in the palace. With Prince Lee’s plan to keep her in the palace fully formed, he informs Nam Young that he plans to keep Ro Seo in the palace permanently once she enters.
With no other alternatives and in light of his upcoming marriage to the Minister of War’s daughter, Nam Young proceeds with the idea of allowing Ro Seo to stay in the palace with the Prince.
“An underground of that size requires long hours of construction. They will also need dozens of workers.”
Going back to the well, Nam Young brought with him the other inspectors to catch Sim Heon. However, when they arrive at the well, the tunnel that they had found has already been blocked.
Speculating that the kind of tunnel would be a labor of many hours, Nam Young tries to convince him to further investigate the tunnel.
But, he was stopped when the Commanding Inspector admonished him for failing to complete the assigned duty for Nam Young in order to keep him occupied with unnecessary tasks.
Consequently, the Commanding Inspector immediately confiscates Nam Young’s inspector badge and suspends him.
“Forgive me, but I cannot run away while others are in danger.”
On her way to the palace, riding in a palanquin to guarantee her safety, Ro Seo feels claustrophobic in the palanquin’s small enclosed space. So, she asks Lee Pyo’s eunuch for permission to leave for a bit.
Allowing her face to be seen through the window, she instantly noticed Geum fleeing from some thugs. Ro Seo apologizes to the Prince’s eunuch and then follows Geum’s route.
Since Geum was ready to be abducted, Ro Seo appears and allows herself to be taken instead, as she is the one they are actually seeking.
“No matter how many times I count to ten, it is always you, Ro Seo.”
Meanwhile, Nam Young and Prince Lee Pyo discover that Sim Heon’s people have captured Ro Seo and are detaining her in the Mangwol Temple.
Arriving at the temple, Nam Young and Lee Pyo confront Sim Heon’s people. On the other hand, Ro Seo struggles and succeeds in escaping from where she was kept.
While Lee Pyo fights with Sim Heon’s people, Nam Young and Ro Seo are ready to depart the temple. Sim Heon attempts to strike the prince, but he is stopped by the prince’s uncle.
Successfully leaving the temple, Nam Young and Ro Seo were set to part ways. He prevents her from proceeding to go and apologizes for everything she just went through.
After informing Nam Young that it was not his fault, she later expresses her guilt and inquires as to what he could possibly have done.
Nam Young apologizes again to her for sending her out alone and admits to her that no matter how many times he counts, it has always been her that moves his heart.
Moonshine Episode 9 Musings
Moonshine episode 9 clearly shows that the three protagonists of the series are associated with each other.
First, Nam Young’s pieces of memory resurface when he enters the Mangwol temple. He recalls seeing a tiger that was not a tiger at all.
And then we discovered that Ro Seo’s father was the late Crown Prince’s guard and was involved in the Mangwol temple incident ten years ago.
Apparently, Prince Lee Pyo is the late Crown Prince’s younger brother, who died ten years ago. We have a lot of unanswered questions that we hope will be addressed in future episodes of Moonshine.
Furthermore, the growing romance between Ro Seo and Nam Young is still unsure since Nam Young is still set to marry someone else, while Ro Seo is going to join the Prince’s side.
Fortunately, we have seen Nam Young fearlessly express his affections for Ro Seo after keeping them hidden for so long.
There are a lot of pivotal secrets Moonshine is going to reveal regarding what occurred in the past and why Ro Seo is still in danger even if she stayed in the palace, as hinted at in the episode 10 preview.
