The latest episodes of Moonshine brandish a one-sided romance that will hopefully turn mutual between the main leads.
When duty calls, versus protecting those you care about, it is definitely a separate subject for debate. However, for Nam Young, his priority is to protect and save Ro Seo, even if it means disregarding one of his inspector tasks.

Episode Recaps: 1 & 2 | 3 – 6 |
For starters, Roseo wants to drive Nam Young out of her house. Ever since he began to enter her life, every opportunity to earn money has been snatched away from her. This results in Ro Seo’s accumulating unpleasant sentiments toward him.
Nonetheless, as the series progresses, we can’t wait to witness Ro Seo’s hatred for Nam Young transform into affection, as they will inevitably cross paths from now on.
What Happened Since The Opening Week?
Nam Young’s Discovery of Ro Seo Secretly Brewing and Selling Liquor
We already know that for Ro Seo (Lee Hyeri) to earn money to pay her brother’s debt, she must brew and sell liquor in a discreet way. But, considering the King’s prohibition, using rice wine was still illegal throughout their era.
Due to the liquor mobile’s inability to continue, Ro Seo devised a plan to sell liquor to a wealthy man on Buddha’s birthday.
Fortunately, she comes upon the disguised Crown Prince, whom she refers to as the jade guy. He desperately wants to consume alcohol despite the liquor ban. She then offers crooks of liquor to the prince at the abandoned apothecary shop.
Subsequently, Nam Young (Yoo Seung Ho), an inspector tasked with apprehending people who break the law, visits the shop and discovers that both Ro Seo and the prince are defying the restriction on purpose.
Prohibition That Only Complicates Things Even More
Nam Young carefully deliberates whether to report Ro Seo or not. If he does, he frantically imagines her execution. Also, he believes he will be exposing the Crown Prince.
With the incident of Sang Mok and his people raiding the shop during Buddha’s birthday, Nam Young, Ro Seo, and the prince were all present that night, and consequently, a fight occurred.
Meanwhile, Sang Mok vanished following the fight, as did all of the slain bodies.
When Ro Seo discovers that her friend has hidden Sang Mok someplace, she is conflicted between eliminating him and not taking such drastic measures to get out of debt.
A Perceptible Offer Impossible To Decline
In episodes 5 and 6, Ro Seo is presented with a once-in-a-lifetime chance to turn the tables.
Sang Mok successfully escapes from Ro Seo and her friend. When Ro Seo’s acquaintance learns that Un Sim is keeping him in the Giringak, she instantly switches their clothing and goes to the courtesan to finish off Sang Mok.
However, as she enters the room where Sang Mok is, Ro Seo is unsure whether or not to execute him. Un Sim, on the other hand, implores her to do so.
Unfortunately, as the royal inspectors, including Nam Young and the disguised prince, invaded the Giringak, she was not able to kill Sang Mok.
Before Ro Seo leaves the courtesan house, Un Sim offers Ro Seo an impossible-to-refuse proposition. It is her brother’s debt that will be discharged if she consistently provides tons of liquor to Un Sim.
Ro Seo comes into another deal with the Kang family, which specializes in guns and swords since she recognized Kang San’s face. Due to the fact that their family also requires money, she proposes splitting some of the money she would earn from the Giringak.
Following that, another altercation occurs when Sim invades their location, and Nam Young and the other inspectors are also there owing to the gunshot.
Moonshine Episodes 3 to 6 Musings
Desperate times certainly call for desperate measures, as we have witnessed in Ro Seo’s situation. Of course, we should exercise extra caution when it comes to accepting such proposals in exchange for our debts to vanish instantly.
Furthermore, the blossoming romance between the lead pair is definitely on track, but there are impediments to their being together.
It includes Nam Young’s impending marriage to the Minister of War’s daughter. As well as Ro Seo would be selected for the Crown Princess selection.
Notably, the lighthearted and hilarious plot of Moonshine is probably what viewers will love the most during their leisure time.
While Moonshine provides a mellow narrative, it lacks gritting feelings owing to the need for more of Nam Young and Lee Hyeri’s fleeting sweet moments.
