See You In My 19th Life Episodes 3 and 4 Highlights
Reunited with the first love she met in her 18th life, Ban Ji-eum eagerly works on fulfilling the romance in her 19th life with Seo-ha.
“When you feel like counting the leaves again, call my name and I will come to you to give you a hug.”
Ji-eum leads Seo-ha to a beautiful cherry blossom spot near Ju-won’s resting place as they casually talk with her mostly showing how enamored she is with him.
Later, she surmises how the people she left in her previous lives struggle to move on. Just like Ae-gyeong who had to brave life after being an orphan at 10 years old. The same goes for Yoon family and Seo-ha who lost her at a young age.
Meanwhile, Cho-won inevitably gets a meeting appointment after submitting an application as a landscaper at the hotel. But when she arrives to meet Seo-ha and Do-yun, it was obvious the former does not want to proceed with her.
Appeasing her youngest sister whom she misses a lot, Ji-eum went for a drink with Cho-won and she reminisces about their good times together while staring at her face. She also learns that Cho-won likes Do-yun and not Seo-ha.
Ji-eum brings her home but hides when her mom opens the door. Yearning for her mother, she emotionally conjured a moment where they reunite together which was witnessed by Seo-ha. She then makes an excuse that she misses her mother.
“This is what I’m going to do from now on. I will ask you out three times. If you say no for all those three times, I will give up.”
Seo-ha and Do-yun personally visit Cho-won to bring good news that she got the landscaping deal for the hotel.
Cho-won makes a move to propose to Do-yun to go on a blind date with her which he straightly declines. Ji-eum also declares she will ask Seo-ha out three times and will stop if he refuses all of it.
Later, Seo-ha sees Ji-eum being chased by a man and learns that he is her brother whom she is not particularly fond of. They end up going for a drink and a light drinker that he is, Ji-eum ends up calling Cho-won for help.
They bring him home and while Ji-eum fixes him on his bed, Seo-ha dreams of Ju-won. He even gets his hand and pleads with her not to go away.
See You In My 19th Life Episodes 3 and 4 Musings
Nothing monumental happened in week 2 of See You In My 19th Life except the clear romantic stories that will be featured between Seo-ha and Ji-eum as well as Do-yun and Cho-won.
Other than that, Seo-ha’s rift with his father driven by the sour relationship he has with his stepmother creates a clear reality that it will be one of the conflicts to resolve in the series.
Chairman Moon’s relationship with Do-yun previews possible disappointment that Seo-ha has to confront.
From its interesting premiere, the intrigue was absent in these latest chapters. In fact, the flashbacks of Ji-eum’s past lives felt disconnected though adding up more of her back stories that may or may not matter as the story develops.
Will she use up all her I-like-you declaration chances or will Seo-ha mutually fall in love with her?
