Stealer: The Treasure Keeper Episodes 8 to 10 Highlights
To access Chairman Kim’s house, they needed his fingerprint and had Ae-ri the newest member, and maknae act like a massage therapist to get it.
Unknown to them, Chairman Kim is aware of their plan and prepares a trap for them once they enter his house.
On D-Day, it was also agreed that Min-woo will join Skunk. The two enters the door to the main house, but suddenly Skunk went offline. Ms. Lee traces the source of the connection jam and Chief Jang goes on a mission to break it while Chang-hoon protects the manhole.
Meanwhile, Skunk and Min-woo enter a room where they need to solve a puzzle. The catch is they have to solve it under poisonous gas pressure. However, after placing the last piece, nothing happened inside the room.
With the poisonous gas level elevating, Skunk removes his mask and reveals his identity as Dae-myung. He also moves one of the written wall panels that stopped the seeping gas inside the room.
Next, they arrive in a room that Dae-myung explained to be a replica of Baekje era tombs. Aiming to get a stone, Min-woo utilized Dae-myung’s body to retrieve it. Another Japanese doll shows itself and the tomb starts moving. By following the eyes of the Japanese doll, Min-woo gets a stone and finds earrings inside it.
Deducing they need to find other stones that would complement the first character, they realize the quote that Shimada incorporated in the challenge.
It turns out to be a decoy as the challenge is actually about a forgotten Japanese empress. On the cusp of being clipped by the walls, their teamwork wins and help them advance to the final room.
“Every accomplishment rest on the foundation of not giving up.”
Outside Chang-hoon fights with a lethal new killer commissioned by Chairman Kim while Chief Jang also struggles with his own battle. Smartly, he subdued Huidal while Doctor Ko came to help Ms. Lee.
Min-woo and Dae-myung look for a key under time pressure in a Japanese-style room. But when they find it inside a Celadon vase, Dae-myung explains that it’s another trick in the game. That they should risk their lives for something valuable.
Choosing not to break the vase paid off and they were granted permission to enter the room full of historical artifacts. They also see Shimada’s skull and realize that Chairman Kim has never entered his vault.
The path they paved presents the shrewd villain and his people. It turns out that Chairman Kim used them all along so that his vault will be opened. Fortunately, Dae-myung was able to escape with the master key that Shimada stole and took to the inner vault until he died.
Escaping Chairman Kim’s house, Team Karma rushed Min-woo to the hospital. Thankfully, the bullet only grazed her shoulder. Another problem arises when the cultural assets sent by Dae-myung to Cultural Heritage Team were moved by the Commissioner. The last Joseon coin to complete Chairman Kim’s collection is actually there.
Quickly moving to his grand plan, Chairman Kim used all the coins he got and form a figure that points to the direction of the treasure he so wanted.
He also gives Huin-dal a mission to make up for all his errors – and that is to kill Hwang Dae-myung. Engaging in a scuffle, Dae-myung realizes Huin-dal is the man who killed his parents.
