Taking his lauded craft to a new and elevated level, Director Park Chan Wook promises viewers a different experience in Decision To Leave.
Starring Park Hae Il, Park Yong Woo, Lee Jung Hyun, Tang Wei, and Go Kyung Po, Decision To Leave is slated to launch on June 29. Penning the movie is Writer Jung Seo Kyung, the writer of Mother, The Handmaiden, and the upcoming Korean adaptation of Little Women.
In the latest edition of the Cannes Film Festival, the movie competes for the prestigious Palme d’Or award.
Park Chan Wook is not only known as a director but also known to be a screenwriter, producer, and former film critic. He has worked with Writer Jung for The Handmaiden, The Truth Beneath, Sympathy For Mr. Vengeance, and so forth.
Throughout his career, Director Park bagged 66 awards from various filming awards. The Handmaiden helped him win a 2016 Daesang Award, CIFFC’s Best Foreign Film, and BAFTA Award, to name a few.
Director Park also guested as an actor in Entourage and his own film Sympathy For Mr. Vengeance.
Decision To Leave is a mystery and melodrama about a passionate detective, Hae Joon, to be portrayed by Park Hae Il. An unusual death occurred on a mountain and he started investigating the case to reveal its mysteries.
Hae Joon then meets Seo Rae (Tang Wei), the former wife of the victim, while investigating the matter. Hae Joon is wary of her, but he develops an interest in her while investigating.
Actors Jung Yi Seo (Tale Of The Nine-Tailed), Jung Ha Dam (Sweet Home), and Yoo Seung Mok (Voice 3: City Of Accomplices) are also confirmed in completing the cast of the film.
Furthermore, Director Park promotes his upcoming film,
