In the unveiled poster, the main cast of Happy New Year lined up with happy faces.
The film stars an array of popular actors including Lee Dong Wook, Han Ji Min, Lee Jin Wook, Seo Kang Jun, Kim Young Kwang, Won Ji Ah, Kang Na Heul, Im Yoon Na, and more.
Directed by Kwak Jae Yong, A Year-End Medley narrates the stories of different people who work at Hotel Emros during New Year’s Eve including their guests.
With a big scope of actors, the film presents different characters with different professions and personalities. There is a hotel manager who is not confident with her personal life. A CEO who is obsessed with numbers; a hotel staff who dreams to be a musical actress and another one who works as a female door porter.
As for the guests, there is one who wanted to apply for a job at the hotel because he failed in his exam to be a public officer. Meanwhile, there’s also a singer/songwriter who is quite popular. Added to these are a radio DJ, a jazz pianist, a plastic surgeon, a businessman, a fortune-teller, and a high school student swimmer.
Happy New Year would be a full-packed movie with something to catch on at the end of the year.
Warm Romance Atmosphere
To be released this December, Happy New Year aims to become a box office hit that would warm the audience’s hearts with its holiday vibes.
With the different stories of each character, the film would notably retell the different experiences and realities of each people. Since the film is set in a holiday mood, it synchs with the current vibes of people around the world.
Director Kwak Jae Yong who also directed My Sassy Girl and Speedy Scandal raises lots of expectations on how this holiday film be embedded in the hearts of its viewers. Director Kwak also assured that he’s so confident with his lineup of actors.
Meanwhile, Kang Ha Neul also reiterates that each person in the film bears struggles.
“It is realistic to see each person cope with the situation. I’ve come to see it with sympathy,” said Ha Neul
