Jo Jung Suk and Lee Jung Eun Team Up In K-Movie “Zombie Daughter”

Get ready for a heartwarming (and slightly horrifying) tale of fatherly love in Zombie Daughter (WT)!

This upcoming film has just locked down a cast that’s practically perfect in every way.

Based on a popular webtoon, the story follows a devoted dad named Jung-hwan, played by the amazing Jo Jung Suk (Exit, Hospital Playlist). When his daughter turns into a zombie, Jung-hwan decides to take matters into his own hands and secretly trains to become a zombie whisperer (because apparently zombie apocalypse prep 101 wasn’t enough!).

Helping Jung-hwan navigate this wacky new world is a stellar supporting cast. Veteran actress Lee Jung Eun (Parasite) joins the fun as Bam-soon, the cheery grandma who lives by the sea and joins forces with Jung-hwan to protect her undead granddaughter.

Things get even more interesting with the arrival of Yeon-hwa (played by the ever-talented Jo Yeo Jeong, Best Actress winner for Parasite). She’s Jung-hwan’s old flame who just happens to become the new teacher in their sleepy fishing village. Talk about awkward reunions!

Rounding out the cast is Yoon Kyung Ho as Dong-bae, Jung-hwan’s old friend who brings some comedic relief (because every zombie apocalypse needs a laugh, right?). And last but not least, we have Choi Yu Ri as Su-ah, the world’s last remaining zombie (and Jung-hwan’s newly undead daughter). Get ready for some seriously heartwarming (and maybe a little tear-jerking) father-daughter moments!

The film is being directed by Pil Gam-seong, who impressed audiences with his genre-bending debut Hostage and his work on the series A Day of Fortune. With this killer cast and crew, Zombie Daughter is shaping up to be a must-watch for zombie fans and anyone who loves a good story about dads who go the extra mile (even for their flesh-eating offspring). Filming is set to begin soon, so stay tuned for more updates!
