Buckle up as Space Sweepers readies to mark a milestone with its futuristic concept fueled by a powerhouse cast on Netflix!
Vividly depicting in detail the crew of a cosmic waste management spacecraft who discover a humanlike robot, named Dorothy; Space Sweepers revolves to an innovative concept, that viewers would be able to empathize.
The film stars Song Joong-ki, Kim Tae-ri, Jin Sun-kyu and Yoo Hai-jin. Directed by Jo Sung Hee (A Werewolf Boy, Phantom Detective), Space Sweepers is produced by Bidangil Pictures.
Set in 2092, Earth has become a bleak planet which will soon be uninhabitable. Spaceship Victory is one of the many that live off salvaging space debris. Crewed with a genius space pilot Tae-ho, a mysterious ex-space pirate Captain Jang, an ex-con spaceship engineer Tiger Park, and a reprogrammed military robot Bubs, Spaceship Victory surpasses all other space sweepers.
After successfully snatching a crashed space shuttle in the latest debris chase, Victory’s crew find a 7-year-old girl inside. They realize that she’s the humanlike robot wanted by UTS Space Guards, and decide to demand ransom in exchange.
Song Joong Ki (Descendants of the Sun, A Werewolf Boy) plays Tae-ho, the pilot who undertakes any profitable venture. Kim Tae Ri (Mr. Sunshine, The Handmaiden) takes on the role of Captain Jang, while Jin Sun Kyu (Kingdom, Extreme Job) and Yoo Hai Jin (Confidential Assignment, A Taxi Driver) plays Tiger Park and Bubs, respectively.
The excitement-packed outer space sci-fi blockbuster Space Sweepers will premiere worldwide, only on Netflix.
