A dream collaboration is set for Director Kim Yong Hwa, Sol Kyung Gu and EXO member and actor Do Kyung Soo.
Confirmed to work for the film titled 더 문 The Moon, the project eyes to start filming in the first half of 2021.
Highly anticipated as Director Kim’s new work, the announcement of confirmed lead actors hyped the excitement even more. The famed South Korean filmmaker and screenwriter is behind the blockbuster hit movies – Along With The Gods: The Two Worlds and The Lat 49 Days. His other notable projects include 200 Pounds Beauty, My Way and Mr. Go.
Two Lauded Actors of Different Generations
Top-billed by two actors who are loved by the viewers, The Moon prepares a powerful casting combination like no other.
Sol Kyung Gu, an acclaimed seasoned actor who encompasses all generations and story genres, takes one of the leading roles in the film. The award-winning actor has been proving his big screen prominence for over two decades. His notable works include Peppermint Candy, Oasis, Hope, The Merciless, and Memoir of a Murderer among others.
Expected to complete his military service in January 2021, Do Kyung Soo takes his ninth movie to date in The Moon. Impressing the filmgoers in recent films Swing Kids, Room No.7 and My Annoying Brother, his latest venture will surely be a gift to his waiting fans.
Reuniting EXO’s D.O to Director Kim since working together in Along With The Gods films, the rough story sketch revealed the character of Sol Gyung Ku discovering a man left alone, and he attempts to save him.
Produced by Vladstudio, The Moon begins filming in the first half of 2021.
UPDATE: Actress Kim Hee Ae also joins the lead cast. Also, Dexter Studios will be in charge of the VFX content in the film.
