The highly anticipated film Gunche Colony (LT) directed by Yeon Sang-ho, has officially begun full-scale production, boasting a powerhouse cast that includes Jun Ji Hyun, Koo Kyo Hwan, Ji Chang Wook, Shin Hyun Been, Kim Shin Rok, and Go Soo.
With its intriguing premise and stellar lineup, Gunche has already become one of the most talked-about projects in the Korean film industry.
Gunche unravels a chilling tale of a building sealed off due to an unidentified virus. As the infection spreads, the affected individuals undergo unpredictable mutations, turning them into a new kind of threat for the remaining survivors. Known for pushing creative boundaries with films like Train to Busan and Peninsula, as well as series like Hellbound and Parasyte: The Gray, Yeon Sang-ho’s latest work promises another thrilling experience that blends horror, action, and suspense.
A Star-Studded Cast Sparks Global Excitement
The announcement of Gunche’s cast has created a buzz not just in Korea but worldwide. Leading the ensemble is Jun Ji Hyun, an icon in the Korean film industry, marking her long-awaited return to the big screen after nearly a decade since Assassination.
