New Singer Jo Jung Suk is the debut project of Jo Jung Suk, an actor with 20 years of experience who is serious about music and dreams of becoming a singer-songwriter.
Respected as an all-round actor who has worked in movies, dramas, and even musicals, Jo debuted in the musical The Nutcracker in 2004. He received great love for his musical works such as Hedwig and the Angry Inch and Spring Awakening. His versatile charm extended to the big screen and in dramas. He appeared in the movies Exit, Hit-and-Run Squad, Architecture 101, and the drama Hospital Playlist. He recently wrapped up Captivating the King.
Jo Jung Suk is preparing to debut as a ‘standard’ new singer with Netflix. A strong support team is also on hand for him who has been dreaming of becoming a singer-songwriter for 20 years. Jung Sang-hoon, the best hyung in the world who likes to get things done, takes on the role of entertainment representative and plays the role properly. Moon Sang-hoon also joins in and helps Jo Jung Suk debut as a singer. The chemistry between the three people is expected to provide pleasant laughter.
This debut project as a new singer, utilizing all Jo’s connections and efforts from 20 years of acting as an actor promises to unfold spectacularly, from evaluation of self-composed songs to planning for an album concept to unconventional promotions that no one can stop.
The show will be directed by Yang Jeong-woo, the producer of the New Journey to the West, Youth Over Flowers, and A Useful Story series. Producer Yang is working with Jo and Jung for the first time in 8 years since Youth Over Flowers ICELAND.
New Singer Jo Jung Suk will be released on Netflix at a later date.
