Netflix celebrates the 58th Golden Bell Awards—Taiwan’s most prestigious television award that celebrates creative excellence in the entertainment industry—with 40 nominations and 12 wins.
The nomination list features well-loved cast and crew from some of Netflix’s most popular Taiwanese series, including two nominations for Mom, Don’t Do That!, seven nominations for Shards of Her, 14 nominations for Wave Makers and 17 nominations for Copycat Killer.
In celebration of this spectacular run at this year’s Golden Bell Awards, Netflix hosted a star-studded afterparty attended by over 250 talents, creators, crew members, and content partners.

The heartstring-tugging suspense series Shards of Her, jointly produced by Mandarin Vision and Gala Pictures International, is coined as the biggest winner in the miniseries category, garnering four wins in seven nominations, including Hsu Wei-ning for Best Leading Actress, Toby Lee for Best Leading Actor, Charlize Lamb for Best Newcomer, as well as Best Miniseries Producer.
Executive Producer Yeh Ju-feng said, “A great show is made by a cast of talented actors, and we hope for the audience’s continued support as we keep working hard to tell important stories. We’re very happy that our leading actors, newcomer, and screenwriter have all won the awards. Today is a joyous day”. Director Cho Li, who received a nomination for Best Directing, expressed, “This is my first time directing a series, and we are incredibly grateful to the judges. And I want to tell all the audience struggling in the darkness that no matter where you are, the dark stories on screen are not darkness, but rather, illuminating. Be kind to yourself and others”.
Crime thriller Copycat Killer received a total of 17 nominations at this year’s Golden Bell Awards. With wins in 4 categories, namely Best Cinematography, Best Visual Effects, and Best Innovation in the drama series category, Copycat Killer is also coined Most Popular Drama Series by the audience’s choice.
“Taiwan should not underestimate its creative ability. We believe that stories can convey more values, and we hope that everyone can set higher expectations for themselves. We will continue to create better stories, and our team will strive to move forward without stopping,” said producer Hank Tseng from Greener Grass Production. Producer Phil Tang also shared, “Copycat Killer was enjoyed by audiences worldwide on Netflix, which, for us, means showcasing Taiwan to the world”.
Workplace drama series Wave Makers, jointly produced by DaMou Entertainment and Public Television Service, features a cast led by Hsieh Ying-hsuan, Jag Huang, Gingle Wang and Buffy Chen. The series received a total of 14 nominations, including nods for Best Miniseries, Best Directing, Best Visual Effects and Best Original Song and Original Scores.
Director Lin Chun-yang said, “The nominations are a significant recognition to the team, and we appreciate Netflix’s continuous support and trust. We look forward to creating even more quality drama series“.
Family comedy-drama series Mom, Don’t Do That! features a line-up of widely popular actors, including Billie Wang, Alyssa Chia, Alice Ko, Johnny Ko, Wu Kang-ren, Austin Lin, and more. Produced by the award-winning team at Butt Mountain, Mom, Don’t Do That! earned Billie Wang and Nick Chou nominations for Best Original Song and Best Costume Design for Drama Series. Producer Sarso Chou expressed his gratitude, stating, “I’m very grateful to Netflix for bringing four good works together tonight and bringing great local storytelling to audiences around the world”.
