“The King’s Affection” Presents Vibrant Young Cast In Enticing Character Posters

The King's Affection

Stunning hues adorned the sneak peeks on the main characters that will grace The King’s Affection.

The new KBS2 series depicts the story of a princess who assumes her twin brother’s identity when he died. It is based on a comic book series inspired by imaginations about a woman rising to the throne but inevitably disappears from history.

Rolling out captivating images, the series also provided details about the lead characters by using the colors of the traditional robes they wear.

First, Crown Prince Lee Hwi, portrayed by Park Eun Bin, wears a strong red color. Although she hides a great secret, she symbolizes the will to keep the position strong and firm. Her undisturbed posture and the way she wears the red robe with each angle also reveals her unyielding disposition. However, even with intense dark eyes, her sad heart reverberates.

The charming purple color and smile of Lee Hwi’s teacher Jung Ji-woon, played by Rowoon, clearly showcases his charm. He is mysterious and glamorous, but there is an irresistible nobleness in him. He also harbors the loneliness caused by the person he should not approach.

Suiting up as Lee Hyun is Nam Yoon Soo. As a royal servant, the warm color of orange reveals a stable and gentle personality. Just like a color that contains the right temperature, he always maintains his level.

Mesmerizing as escort warrior Kim Ga On, strength and loyalty emanate from Choi Byung Chan who never loses his vigilance. His dark brown color representation alludes to a unique story he hides.

Next, a refreshing sky blue shade emphasizes Shin So-eun’s radiance. To be performed by Bae Yoon Kyung, the actress flaunts her character’s confidence suggesting her beliefs that can’t be swayed easily by anyone.

Finally, Jung Chae Yeon breaks her small screen hiatus with her new role as No Ha-kyung. She has a pure and kind heart complementing the serene vibe of her bluish-purple color.

The production team said, “With beautiful Korean colors, the characteristics of each character are included in the poster. Each unique color will come alive in the drama. Moreover, the romance combinations they will create together are also unique. We ask for your interest and anticipation until the first broadcast on October 11th.”

Aiming for an unforgettable secret royal romance, The King’s Affection is directed by Song Hyun Wook (Another Miss Oh, The Beauty Inside) and Lee Hyun Suk. It will be penned by Han Hee Jung of Clean With Passion For Now fame.

The King’s Affection premieres on KBS 2TV at 9:30 p.m. on Monday, October 11. Global fans can watch it on Netflix.
