Jinxed At First Episodes 3 & 4 Highlights
After being nearly captured by human traffickers, Seul-bi fulfills her promise to Chief Wang on helping his son’s eye surgery. Using her powers, she foresees their future and saw that an expert eye doctor can help Chief Wang’s son.
With that, Seul-bi tells them that they should visit an ice cream shop across Venus headquarters, where a Bazaar is being held. To enter the Bazaar, the two need to pay a 30,000 won entrance fee which Seul-bi gave Chief Kwang’s son last night.
An eye specialist doctor wearing a mascot saw Chief Kwang’s son’s eyes and offered to treat them. With a grateful heart, the once fearsome loan shark unveils his true character and thank Seul-bi with an ice cream together with the whole Seodong Market.
“I’ll make you a lucky guy.”
Furthermore, Lee Seul-bi notices how people hate and avoids Soo-kwang. She then asked Chief Kwang why Smile Fisheries’ owner and the others don’t like him and found out that Soo-kwang jinxes everyone around him.
This motivated Seul-bi to help Soo-kwang and give him good fortune in his business and his relationship with the people of Seodong Market. With the powers that her mother forbids her to use for others, Seul-bi decides to fully use them to help others and change their fates.
“Why did you run away? What happened?”
Even though Goo Soo-kwang’s fondness for Seul-bi is getting stronger, he still questions the truth behind her sudden appearance. To find out, Soo-kwang returns to the place where she first met Seul-bi.
He secretly asks the receptionist for any missing children and he heard people in black suits also conversing about finding a girl. Scared to reveal his identity, Soo-kwang run away from them and saw his college friend Min-joon, who helped him escape.
Soo-kwang discerns that he might be involved in his accident and that Min-joon and his father hide a secret that led Seul-bi to run away.
“The owner of the fish shop is hooked.”
Additionally, Soo-kwang finally admits his feelings for Seul-bi that he always brushes off. To thank Seul-bi for helping Ms. Smiley with her problem with her husband, Yi-young treats her with drinks and chicken.
As a person who finally sees the world, Seul-bi enjoys everything that people offer her, including drinking a lot of alcohol. With that, Soo-kwang helped the drunken Seul-bi reach their house where she accidentally kisses him.
This confirms Soo-kwang’s feelings for her which he continues to hide. Furthermore, he teaches Seul-bi household chores and how to operate different appliances at home.
“I heard that Jinhua Group lost something important. It’s not a thing, but a girl? If she is not that important to you, I can take her, right?”
On the other hand, Sam-joong’s older brother, Il-joong, and nephew, Dong-shik, eyes his precious charm. With the information Dong-shik gets from Seul-bi’s former housekeeper, he learned that Seul-bi and his mother have the power to bring good luck.
Considering their bad relationship with Sam-joong, the two plot to take him down and steal his lucky charm. Moreover, Il-joong’s men contacted a mysterious ex-convict that related to Seul-bi.
As two powerful men are fighting to capture Seul-bi first, the human traffickers that are caught also return to find Seul-bi and have their revenge.
Jinxed At First Episodes 3 & 4 Musings
Seon Sam-joong’s character in the second week of Jinxed At First is very different from what the opening week showed. From the greedy and terrifying Chairman of Jinhua Group, he shifted to a terrified and unhappy husband, father, and son.
It is now becoming clear that Seul-bi is his daughter and that his romantic relationship with Mi-soo ended miserably. Memories and nightmares from his father and his fear for his older brother might cause him to become the person he is now.
On the other hand, Mi-soo is still chained and is in the palm of her housekeeper, Ms. Kim, who knows what Mi-soo and Seul-bi plotted. Despite being away with her daughter, she is contented and happy to see her daughter free and smiling.
Let’s hope that Mi-soo and Sam-joong’s past will soon be unveiled and that the mystery of the condition of Sam-joong’s father reveals what or who caused it. Nevertheless, these episodes are mixed with various emotions and become more interesting as we slowly get to know the other character’s stories and personalities.
