Rolling out more exciting teasers, Weak Hero presents dauntless and unfathomable expressions of the lead stars in the released main poster.
Park Jihoon, Choi Hyun Wook and Hong Kyung are set to banner their characters in the new Wavve original drama. Forming an alliance, the three characters will grow together as they fight against school violence.
Directed and written by Yoon So-min, Weak Hero depicts the journey of a young man with a brilliant mind who fights against numerous violence with his two friends. It provides an action-growth drama about a weak young man.
Suiting up as the main character of the series Yeon Si-eun is Park Jihoon. Si-eun fights violence to survive in a jungle-like school.
Choi Hyun Wook takes on the role of Ahn Su-ho, a free spirit. He has no interest in school life other than to graduate safely because it’s his promise to his cherished grandmother.
Rounding up the lead cast, Hong Kyung plays the role of Oh Beom-seok. Appearing to be timid, he became friends with Si-eun and his life changed dramatically.
“Weak Hero” Introduces Lead Characters Portrayed By Park Jihoon, Choi Hyun Wook and Hong Kyung
Following the unveiled teaser poster and trailer; the main poster commands attention with the lead actors seated in a disorganized classroom as if symbolizing the chaos happening at school.
In a school called a small society, voluntary outsider Si-eun, who had no interest other than studying, stares blankly with determined eyes. Likewise, Suho and Beom-seok stand next to him and are also looking straight ahead with their tightly closed lips and resolute expressions.
Evoking calm before the storm, the image previews how the trio struggle with their own conflicts and worries due to chaotic events inside and outside the school.
Notably, the three characters present the idea that they have different appearances and personalities. However, as they fight against unreasonable violence in order to protect, not to win, according to the correct answer they learned at school, it suggests the process of becoming friends with each other is not an easy one.
That is specifically highlighted in the second trailer shared by Weak Hero.
Suho and Beom-seok appeared when Si-eun, who swept all the awards and kept the top 1%, was outnumbered by Jeon Young-bin (Kim Su-gyeom) and his gang, who thought he was “unlucky.” They work together to subdue their opponents, but the violence threatens the three friends again in an unexpected way.
In particular, Beom-seok is shown worried and suddenly pours out his anger toward Suho. Nevertheless, the special friendship story of the three people, who grow up through sometimes sticky situations and sometimes conflict, will unfold as excitingly as the growth of weak heroes.
Weak Hero will be exclusively released on November 18th on Wavve.
