Soon to deliver unsparing revenge, The Glory teases the viewers with new posters introducing the series’ main and supporting characters.
Netflix recently released The Glory character posters of Song Hye Kyo (Now We Are Breaking Up, Descendants Of The Sun), Lee Do Hyun (Youth of May), Im Ji Yeon (High Class), and Yeom Hye Ran (The Uncanny Counter), along with the other cast of the show.
The story follows a woman who experienced childhood violence and, in turn, ruined her innocence. She now sets a vicious vengeance she plotted and prepared for her whole life.

The Victims
The first thing to grab the audience’s attention is the cold but fierce expressions of Dong-eun (Song Hye Kyo), Yeo-jung (Lee Do Hyun), and Hyeon-nam (Yeom Hye Ran). The newly unveiled character poster features the characters against a backdrop of ‘Devil’s Morning Glory, which represents the rebellious spirit that seeks to oppose God.
Additionally, Dong-eun’s poster consists of a line from her letter to Yeon Jin, stating, “For your eventual destruction. For my eventual corruption.” Through the letter, writer Kim Eun Sook aimed to illustrate Dong-eun’s scars that do not heal over time.
Moreover, actress Song Hye Kyo expresses her delight when she sees her acting on the monitor and her cold and hurtful expression that deviates from her previous roles.
Furthermore, the line from Yeo-jng, “I’ll do it. Which of them should I kill first?” stood out. Yeo-jung, who Lee Do Hyun described has a dual character, develops a bond with Dong-eun throughout the drama that can be described as love or solidarity.
Director Ahn Gil Ho further explains the relationship between the two.
“Dong Eun and Yeo-jung are people who live with terrible scars. There will be happy moments when the two finally meet, but there will also be a lot of sadness.”
Meanwhile, Hyeon-nam, played by Yeom Hye Ran, is a friend who stands in unity with Dong Eun and becomes her “glory” who feels sincerely for her pain and suffering. The two will share a touching moment in the drama, heightening the viewers’ anticipation to see how their relationship develops.
The Perpetrators
On the other hand, the target of Dong-eun’s revenge also draws the viewers’ attention. Park Yeon Jin’s (Im Ji Yeon), Jeon Jae-joon’s (Park Sung Hoon), Lee Sa-ra’s (Kim Hi Eo Ra), Choi Hye-jung’s (Cha Joo Young), and Son Myung-oh’s (Kim Gun Woo) innocent phrases provoke outrage among prospective viewers.
However, the uneasy expressions of the group of perpetrators, which are inconsistent with their lines, arouse curiosity about how extreme and merciless Dong-eun’s bloody revenge will be.
Writer Kim Eun-sook and director Ahn Gil-ho further stimulate curiosity by adding:
“It is a big point to watch when and by who punishes them. You will be able to feel chaos in the process of their fighting and destruction.”
Lastly, Ha Do Yeong (Jung Sung Il), who sees her wife Yeon-jin’s Pandora’s box, also forecasts that they will be entangled with the revenge, raising concerns about how the characters’ stories will develop.
Part 1 of The Glory will premiere on Netflix on December 30, and Part 2 will preview in March 2023.
