Agency Opening Week Story

“Those people keep on writing history. I would want to write history as well.”

The tension between Go Ah-In (Lee Bo Young) and Kwon Woo-Chul (Kim Dae Gon) is palpable from the very first moments of the drama. Both of them can hold their own as VC communication creative directors in a competitive environment.

To say Go Ah-In’s visit to her psychiatrist was intriguing would be an understatement. She rejects psychotherapy in favor of medication.

The day finally arrived when their top executive, Choi Chang-Su (Ju Sung Ha), met Go Ah In and her adversary, Kwon Woo-Chul, for lunch. At lunch, it was brought to them that they will be up against an ad from a major telecom company. The prize is a promotion to Chief Creative Officer for the winner.

For Go Ah-In, success meant a promotion. She stood out and played cleverly, and her team won the presentation and got the promotion even though they knew they were being cheated.

However, the plot progresses to the next episode.

“I won’t run away.”

The article started out by praising the newly elected chief director officer, Go Ah-In, for his fame. She enjoyed herself and found it rewarding. Using every media outlet as a platform to share her tale.

Still, the appearance of the chairman’s daughter adds a fascinating twist to the plot. It threw its viewers off the story much more than before.

Then it was revealed that Go Ah-In’s fame and fortune were temporary. She couldn’t get out of the system that would lead to her becoming either a professor or the head of a small agency.

Ah-In’s feelings rapidly intensified as she processed this news. It made her unstable and she was rushing home for her medicine, where she discovered it in the garbage can. It was a devastating scene that stopped everyone in their tracks.

But a recollection of her early principles helped Go Ah-In stay true to herself.

Even though her mental health is still questionable, this has given her a tremendous boost in strength.

The next day, she returned to work with a smile on her face and a response for her trolls.

Agency Opening Week Musings

The show lived up to the hype surrounding it. As seen by the show’s characters and the first few episodes, this drama has everything it takes to be successful.

The potential of Go Ah-In as a character actor was clearly demonstrated. Her portrayal of heartfelt passion resonates with viewers. She gives a fantastic performance in her role.

Yet, the depiction of the film’s other supporting characters is also noteworthy. To name a few: Choi Chang-Su, Kwon Woo-Chul, Han Byung-Su, Jo Eun-Jung, and Seo Jung-Woo. The viewers’ personal investment in the drama, whether joy or anger, is palpable.

The way the drama concluded, at least in terms of the episodes that were made public, makes one curious about what other twists the plot may have in store. Notably, Agency, which may be an emotional roller coaster for viewers, also has a lot in store.

Experience the wonders of drama behind the life of an advertising company by watching Agency showing on K-Plus every Sunday and Monday at 9:15 pm.
