Having no luck in his mission to find the red-white masked man, Lee Yeon stumbles on a lucky baby instead in the 4th episode of Tale of the Nine Tailed 1938.

Tale of the Nine Tailed 1938 Episode 4 Highlights
Off to trace the red-white masked man, Moo-young, Lee Yeon gets a lead that the man he’s looking for is ransacking rich people’s houses, but was only taking jewelry boxes.
A step ahead of Moo-young, Shin-ju gets the jewelry box at Sun-woo residence and meets Eun-ho for the first time. Trying to intercept what they stole, Moo-young fled as he is outnumbered.
“I don’t see you even when we’re this close. I don’t recognize you anymore.”
After serving her punishment, Hong-joo goes back to business and meets Moo-young. The latter also meets Grandma Taluipa who does her usual best to chide him. Inwardly, Moo-young thinks that she made a bad decision in letting him live. It turns out that Moo-young is after a ruler that was said to have the power to breathe life into the dead.
Meanwhile, Hong-joo also meets Moo-young and shares how she can’t recognize him anymore for changing. She also sets forth to Manchuria and affirms that Lee Yeon in her place is not Lee Yeon living in 1938.
Lee Yeon and Shin-ju find a baby girl in front of Myeoyongak. Initially, the Lee brothers are against keeping the baby girl. But Shin-ju who is innately caring diligently takes care of her.
Taking turns to care for the baby, Lee Rang discovers that the baby can be used in gambling which made him earn a lot of money.
It turns out that the baby is a human gold tracker, and Jongno police are bent to get her as ordered by the Japanese General. After escaping the police, Lee Yeon momentarily lost her but finds her eventually at Myeoyongak. Lee brothers tend to her and she wakes up the next day without a fever.
Lee Rang also decides on a perfect name for her, Lee Mi-ho while his brother creates chaos at Myeoyongak for making the staff do general cleaning.
Happily playing with Mi-ho, the police arrive to get the child. But of course, Mi-ho’s new father refuses to have her taken.
Tale of the Nine Tailed 1938 Episode 4 Musings
Amusing character interactions and interesting character identities are so far what makes Tale of the Nine Tailed 1938 gravitating.
Now that Hong-joo affirms that Lee Yeon boarding in her place is not the same opium addict Lee Yeon, her next move is unpredictable.
With significant puzzle pieces already laid out for the big picture, it’s hard not to worry if everything will make sense and connect the initial premise of the story.
Since historical notes are incorporated, assimilating them into Korean fantasy folklore seems like a long shot.
Moo-young’s remark that Grandma Taliupa should have killed him when she paid a visit could have led to the problem faced by her in the present time.
As seen in the preview, baby Mi-ho is still Jongno’s sought-after bounty.
