Jeongnyeon: The Star is Born, a new drama set in the 1950s, has released a vibrant poster.
The drama follows the compelling story of Yoon Jeongnyeon, portrayed by Kim Tae Ri, a “natural vocal genius” navigating the competitive landscape of the national opera scene in the 1950s, shortly after the Korean War.

Recently, the production team unveiled a visually striking poster that captures the essence of the female national theater troupe, Maeran, featured in the series. Designed like a recruitment leaflet for aspiring singers, the poster cleverly integrates Korean, Chinese characters, and foreign terms, reflecting the cultural and historical nuances of the time.
The poster prominently features several key characters. Alongside Jeongnyeon, viewers will meet her rival, Heo Yeong-seo, played by Shin Ye Eun, and the dedicated Mae-ran team leader, Kang So-bok, portrayed by Ra Mi Ran. The lineup also includes notable stars Moon Ok-kyung (Jung Eun Chae) and Seo Hye-rang (Kim Yoon Hye).
