Girls’ Generation’s Seohyun and 2PM’s Taecyeon are teaming up for KBS 2TV’s upcoming fantasy romance drama.
Based on a popular web novel 남주의 첫날밤을 가져버렸다, I Stole the Male Lead’s First Night (LT) is a thrilling and unconventional romance, combining elements of fantasy with a humorous and offbeat twist.
The story follows the journey of a supporting character who, after being possessed by the soul of an ordinary college student, accidentally spends a night with the novel’s obsessive male lead, throwing the entire narrative off course.
Seohyun takes on the role of Cha Seon-Cheok, a privileged character born into wealth and status, but originally just a minor player in the novel. Her character, who longed for a simple life, is suddenly inhabited by the spirit of a female college student, K. As a result, Seon-Cheok inadvertently alters the course of the story by spending a night with the male protagonist, which sets off a series of unexpected events.
Ok Taecyeon plays the male lead, Gyeongseong-gun, a royal relative favored by the king and renowned for his martial arts skills. He is the epitome of the ideal male protagonist—cold on the outside but fiercely devoted to the woman he loves. Gyeongseong-gun’s complex past, marked by painful scars and rumors, adds depth to his character, and Taecyeon’s portrayal is expected to captivate viewers.
The female protagonist of the novel, Jo Eun-ae, is portrayed by Kwon Han Sol. Eun-ae, originally a character designed to be the embodiment of a sweet love story, faces unexpected challenges when her fate changes due to the arrival of an alternative love interest. Her struggle to find her own path and her evolving role in the story promises to be a compelling part of the drama.
Supporting characters include Seo Beom June as Jung Soo-kyum, a charming young official who creates tension by forming a love triangle with the main characters, and Ji Hye Won as Do Hwa-seon, the villainess. Hwa-seon, with her ruthless ambition to marry into the royal family, will serve as a major antagonist, adding intensity to the drama.
I Stole the Male Lead’s First Night blends a lively and dynamic romance between colorful characters, including a modern-day female college student caught up in their love triangle. With a fast-paced narrative and shocking twists, the series is set to capture the imagination of viewers, adding excitement to the classic romance formula. The drama is currently in production.
