Lee Jung Jae, Park Hae Soo & Fellow Participants Stake Their All To be The Lone Victor Of “Squid Game”

Squid Game

Netflix’s Squid Game has published new stills showing heightened tension among the characters participating in the life-threatening game.

This series follows the story of people who took part in a mysterious survival game with a 45.6 billion won prize. Risking their lives to become the ultimate winner of the extreme game, the released stills captured the riveting picture.

The press-released stills show the 456 participants in the intense game, the masked unknown managers, and the game in its entirety.

Participants who received business cards with circles, triangles, and squares take part in the survival game. They are individuals who have been driven to the outskirts of society for various reasons.

Seizing a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to change their lives, they accept an unusual offer. Eventually, they quickly realize that the game comes with a price, it is their own lives.

Extreme Survival Mission To Win The Squid Game

Director Hwang Dong Hyeok mentioned the game will include fierce combat, with frustrated participants resulting in rallies and betrayals.

“The inside of the game is a microcosm of the outside world. The competition that takes place in reality is transferred to the game as it is.”

Actors of many ages, genders, and nationalities powerfully represent the characters’ tensions and agony in an absurd position in which they must harm others to survive.

Developing a vivid story of the participants’ decisions in each game will give moments of shock and reversal.

Not just game participants, but also masked managers, emerge in the Squid Game, evoking another class society. Classified according to their shape, they wear a circle, triangle, or square mask to control the game players.

The contestants in both groups are dressed in green sweatshirts, while the game managers are dressed in dark pink ensembles.

Whereas, viewers can catch a glimpse of the massive-scale space where the Squid Game games that were concealed beneath the veil would be played.

As Lee Jung Jae put it, “the games felt fun during the first filming, but the horror I felt while filming was different.”

The strange location and people who have no idea where they are or what will happen in the future and the games that await players captivate interest in the Squid Game.

Squid Game premieres on September 17 exclusively on Netflix!
