SBS’ Rugby-Themed Drama That’s Sure To Score Unleashes Special Trailer

Offering a glimpse into what promises to be a dynamic and heartwarming coming-of-age story, this upcoming sports drama is set to electrify the summer of 2025.

Try We Become a Miracle (LT) centers on Joo Ga-ram, a former rugby star whose career plummeted after a doping scandal. Now seeking redemption, he takes on the role of coach for the underperforming rugby team at Hanyang Physical Education High School. The series follows his journey as he inspires the team of perennial losers to dream big and aim for victory at the National Sports Festival.

Directed by Jang Young-seok, known for his work on Taxi Driver 2, and penned by award-winning writer Im Jin-ah, the series has already sparked significant anticipation. The cast includes Yoon Kye Sang as Joo Ga-ram, Im Se Mi as Bae Ji-ji, and Kim Yo Han as Yoon Sung-joon, each bringing energy and depth to their roles.

The first teaser, unveiled during the 2024 SBS Drama Awards, has generated buzz, giving viewers a sneak peek into the high-spirited, comedic, and emotional journey of the characters. The teaser opens with an amusing introduction to the Hanyang rugby team, labeled as the worst team in the league with a dismal record of 25 losses out of 26 matches in one season. The team, often ridiculed and treated as outcasts at school, faces a turning point with the arrival of Joo Ga-ram, a mysterious figure who claims to be their new coach.

Joo Ga-ram’s eccentric personality immediately takes center stage as he introduces himself with over-the-top confidence, declaring, “I’m the idol of the rugby world, the MVP of the Rugby Asia Cup.” However, his arrival is met with resistance, especially from the school’s faculty, who openly question how a disgraced athlete could be trusted to lead the team. This tension sets the stage for the drama’s central conflict, while also teasing the intriguing backstory behind Joo Ga-ram’s fall from grace.

Despite the skepticism, Joo Ga-ram takes on the seemingly impossible task of transforming the demoralized team into champions. His approach, however, is anything but conventional. The teaser showcases the absurdity of his training methods, from having the team practice aerobics and trench fighting to playing soccer, all while exuding baseless confidence.

At one point, he boldly declares, “I’m Joo Ga-ram. No one in Korea knows rugby better than me.

This comedic edge is balanced by moments of friction, particularly with Yoon Sung-joon, the team captain, who openly rebels against the new coach’s methods. Adding to the drama, Bae Ji-ji, Joo Ga-ram’s ex-girlfriend and the school’s shooting club coach, frequently clashes with him, injecting both tension and humor into the story.

As the teaser unfolds, glimpses of growth and camaraderie begin to emerge. Despite their rocky start, Joo Ga-ram and the team slowly bond, overcoming various challenges and misunderstandings together. The teaser ends on a high note, hinting at the team’s transformation into a cohesive unit under Joo Ga-ram’s leadership. Scenes of their chaotic yet determined quest for the national championship leave viewers eagerly anticipating the laughter, drama, and heartwarming moments that the series promises to deliver.

Try: We Become a Miracle aims to captivate audiences in 2025. The series not only explores the themes of redemption and perseverance but also highlights the joy of teamwork and the resilience of youth. Fans can look forward to a drama filled with passion, energy, and the indomitable spirit of chasing dreams.
