Other than marking a year’s anniversary of Love Between Fairy and Devil’s broadcast, the indirect connection between both dramas made audiences look forward to the broadcast of Love You Seven Times.

Yang Chaoyue and Ryan Ding, who unexpectedly had to go through seven lives, turned into a violent pig and a cute white tiger in their first lives. Netizens could not help but laugh at the originally handsome Chu Kong being called a pig (原本帅气的「初空仙君」被叫成 「猪空仙君」) while praising him to be “cute”, “The Peppa Pig of Love You Seven Times” and “first time seeing an animal in tribulation”.

The whole network laughed and praised it as “super cute”, “seven auspicious versions of Peggy the wild boar” and “It’s the first time I saw a person who voted for the tribulation”.

In their second lives, Yang Chaoyue and Ryan Ding were childhood sweethearts in love, with their parents having already arranged for their marriage since they were young.

Chu Kong (played by Ryan Ding) transformed from a cold warrior to an innocent young man, chasing after Xiangyun (Yang Chaoyue). He even prepared a romantic confession under the beautiful lantern festival, but was unexpectedly ruined by Xiangyun who did not consume the water from the Wangchuan River.

The humorous scenes led to Ryan Ding winning the support of many netizens. He expressed his hopes for the audience who favored the drama to always have a bright smile on their faces after watching the drama. Yang Chaoyue also agreed with a smile, “Watching Love You Seven Times can constantly make you happy.”

On the day of the premiere, the wonderful fight scenes received compliments such as “handsome and lovable” and “the fight scenes were so well filmed”.

Ryan Ding recalled, “The fight scenes that took two days to shoot were so enjoyable, it is like a dream come true.” Yang Chaoyue thinks that Xiangyun is a person who “courageously protects her lover” and becomes a better version of herself every time she falls in love with him, which is why she likes this story very much.

Coming from a singer background, Yang Chaoyue garnered lots of attention for her acting skills, with netizens expressing that “her acting is too cute”, “got amazed by her original lines”, and “she has a girly voice and girly face”.

Not only the plot has been widely discussed, but the aesthetic colors presented in the heavenly world of Love You Seven Times also amazed fans of costume dramas. The aesthetic scenes accompanied by special effects of fighting and casting spells left the netizens dumbfounded.

Many comments like “the special effects and plots of the drama are all present”, and “so beautifully shocking” can be seen. With the upcoming lives of the drama plot, Ryan Ding jokes, “The audience saves lots of time as by watching one drama, it is equivalent to watching seven dramas of different themes and relationships. What a steal to catch a drama that is worth seven dramas!”
